diff ratios

morning guys, im starting to look for an axle for my cortina/s14a project, i would like a ratio that will give a good all round ratio, i will be using the car as a road car mostly, but want to do some drag racing and might have a go at drifting, mind you im 50 this year but im a kid at heart, so whats the stock ratio on a sx and tire size this will give me an idea as to were to start

3.7 for manual diff and 3.9 for auto diff

To give you an idea of how the ratios come out in the wash. There's about a 1-2 mph difference between the two ratios in each gear.

Are you sure about that, there's about 500rpm of difference at 70 in 5th

I suppose if I drop to 2900rpm it would be about 60 so yeah. But I would say between 2-3mph
