Seat belt solution for R32 seat swap?

I'm putting some R32 GTR front seats in my S13, but the seatbelts are causing me a bit of vexation at the moment...
The belts and buckets are not compatible between the two cars and I've taken the buckles apart to see if the latch mechanisms can be swapped over easily, and it apears not

What solutions have people come up with to deal with this?

I should clarify that I want to retain the 3 point recoil seatbelts for convenience and so I can get the kids in the back seat.

Cant you just unbolt the latch from the S13 seat and put it on the R32 seat?

    Hi Steve
You can, but the metal strap the latch is attached to is quite a bit longer on the S13 so it sticks up a fair way and I'm not sure how tight it would hold you if the worst should happen... I did wonder about cutting and lap-welding the strap to shorten it but I don't know how this would sit when it comes to MOT time. I guess in reality they probably wouldn't even notice

How about using a rear belt latch with cloth strap rather than metal?

Haha, that's what I've got on there currently! The only issue is that the buckle receptacle sits right on your hip bone/pelvis. I imagine that might be a bit dodgy in a crash.
    Erm, am I overthinking this??

The S13 latch does sit up mighty high on R32 seats. It's annoying.

I will ask Mr C - he's got R32 seats in his Pulsar, but not sure what the latch arrangement is; it does feel 'factory' though.

Cheers arry, a 'factory' look and feel is what I'm aiming for.
