I don't think it does but can't be certain. I had/bought a new 06 1.4 d4d which definitely didn't and don't remember anything about the DPF when I was considering the 2.0.

Totally understand the above. And its that very thing about them that is currently appealing.
Not done any dieseling before though.
No dpf on them. Solid reliable car. Torquey engine but not the most economical diesel out there. Good choice though.
