While talking to Dal at his garage, we decided to MOT the car...which turned up some more rust issues on the sills in addition to the boot. It was to late too turn back now, and I was looking forward to getting behind the wheel again, so some proper welding work ensued!

    The boot....

I have to say, I was really impressed with Dal's speed and quality

Got the car back about a week later, with a fresh ticket . Stoopid rave clock was still playing up.....but I took it out for it first drive in over a year, and I was grinning from ear to ear like an orangutan on ecstacy!

Tucked safely back in the garage now, until Spring

A long overdue (mini) update! I have reached 150,000 miles and this year will be my 10th year of ownership!

So the plan for the car changed slightly over the last few years. A lot of work has been done, some to tackle existing issues such as replacing the sills, and some minor upgrades. Structurally the car is solid, but I would like it if it was aesthetically better. A few bobbles have appeared on the arches, but I have replacement wings and thoughts of putting it in for paint. Not sure yet.

Here are some photos of how the car sits now

Cheers Andy. I thought about parting with it a couple of times, but I just couldn't do it.

I'll take a look and see if I can dig them out. Are you doing the repairs yourself?

After 11 years of ownership, I sold the car yesterday evening. Feeling sad I guess today, but it was the right time.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the car (11 years is a long time with the same vehicle)
I’d like to see what you get hopefully something nice to replace it with

It was a hard decision. I almost told the buyer to leave as he was counting the money out, but it was definitely time. I'm just not using it as much as I should, and don't have the space to store it.

I don't think I have a replacement as such, but I picked up an R32 GTR a few years ago that I'm slowly developing to suit the way I drive.

Definitely enjoyed the car. I bought it in my early 20s, when I could just about afford the car and insurance, so as you can imagine I was quite attached to it.

I'll try and pop along to one of the meetings and I'll bring the R32. Not sure it's a replacement, but it's growing on me.
