Hey guys! My first post for a year or so. I shut my business down a couple of weeks ago, so now I have time to spend on the sil80!

OK, first I want to get the Civic Type R seats fitted. They're not the best seats in the World, they are fairly heavy and a little too tall, but they are a great mix of comfort and support. 10 x better than the OE seats anyway.

Obviously the mounts were completely wrong for the Nissan. I cut the Honda mounts off and welded the Nissan feet and rails to the Honda seats. I'm not sure on the weld strengths so I just went over the top by ribbon welding one side of each rail and gusset welding the other side.

    Ta da!

Now time to sort out the dent in the roof. I got it from a crash a few years back. The only thing I can think of is to use a hydraulic jack to "push" the dent out from inside. Any other suggestions?

OK so I was driving in the rain and my Side lights and dash lights stopped working. After checking the fuse box the relevant fuse has failed and completely melted. After clearing the melted plastic and installing a new fuse everything works again. I traced the problem to the bulb holder for the front side lights. Water has been running off the rear of the headlights and soaking the sidelight holder and caused a short circuit. To solve the issue I made these two alloy gutters. The idea is that they carry the rain water over the trouble area and dump it besides the headlights where there is nothing to destroy. Fingers crossed they work OK.

Hey guys! I have been away for 3 years with cancer. I won and am still alive! Have moved into a new house and have finally got my old Nissan back.

This makes me happy. I hope you are all doing well.

Will be starting a medium level restoration.

I will update in video format as it is just more efficient that way.

Fuel pipes can be replaced with rubber hose front to back, cable tied to brake pipe. Make sure its rated for E15+. Oddly E85 is not as bad as E15 but would need Nistune.

I wouldn't be fitting coper fuel pipe as E10 is more reactive than E5 and they are pushing harder for E10 to be introduced. With current low oil prices ethanol is way dearer then petrol so the fuel makers will be resisting the move. But E10 will be on forecourt in next 5-10 years.

Then you only have fuel pump, filter and injector o-rings to worry about for E10.
