i've read the first 5 Manga of bleach, and its really good, not sure how the anime will follow.

if you want something really good, i'd look for Gundam, i'm just finished 00 season 1, and its really good.

Naruto is really good, there seems to be too many "filler" episode though, but its worth it, bear in mind the first series is 221, 20 min episodes with 5 movies, and the second series is closing in on that number as well.

i did Full metal alchemist, and its really good, i felt a little let down at the end, as there was no "epic" fight scenes, and they left it open for a second series.

Initial D, i watched a couple fo episodes, and it didnt work for me, but i am at manga 23 of that, and the manga is so much better

    another good one is claymore

one i realyl did enjoy was Yu-Gi-Oh, if you get the first series and watch that, instead of jumping straight to GX etc

thats all i can think of from the top of my head

I'm not a big manga fan tbh... Prefer to watch it as anime.

Yeah Yu-Gi-Oh seemed quite good on a saturday morning... As long as it has some epicness, im quite happy.

Although watching that at 26, my G/F thinks im weird :|.

I enjoyed what I watched of Full Metal Alchemist a few years back.

Others you might like are FLCL, Hellsing, Ghost in the Shell 1 & 2 (movies) and the frankly excellent Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex.

why? its just the same as any other anime, just because its on saturday morning which the western world deems as "kids" programme time, doesnt mean it was ment for kids.

Naurto is shown as a kids programme in the US and on soke sky channel, they cut all the bits with blood out, as its not kid friendly, ok i can understand, but it doesnt detract from the fact its still anime. and the stories are still really good, in the Manga Yu-Gi-Oh is slightly darker than the Anime

i've had the same conversation with my G/F with any Anime i watch, all i get is "your not watching that bloody pokemon are you" i could be watching ghost in a shell, Naurto, or gundam, she just pidgeon holes all anime as Pokemon.

oh there one i forgot ghost in a Shell, both series and the films worth a watch (obviosuly in the correct order)

Oooh I've just thought of some more excellent ones:

    - Rurouni Kenshin (http://www.anime.com/Rurouni_Kenshin/)
    - Tenchi Muyo! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenchi_Muyo!)
    - Serial Experiments Lain (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_Experiments_Lain)
    - Cowboy Bebop (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cowboy_Bebop)
    - Macross Plus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macross_plus)
    - Mobile Suit Gundam (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_Suit_Gundam)
    - Fushigi Yuugi (http://www.anime.com/Fushigi_Yugi/)

All of the above are worth watching, epic stuff.

    GITS 2: Innocence
    GITS 3: Solid State Society

Just had a look through my Manga/anime collection:

    Ones to see:
'Noein' Bit of a mind bender
'Appleseed & Appleseed:ExMachina' Startlingly sweet graphics and good pull you along stories.
'Patlabor 1 & 2' 1 is best but 2 is just as involving
'Akira' If you haven't seen it then you're not into Anime!
'Bubblegum Crash & Bg Crisis series' Arse-kicking ladies in body fitting hard suits. Nuff said

Ones to possibly avoid (depending on your taste)
    'Divergence Eve' &
'Gravion' both saturday morning kids series, with 'fan service' (skimpyly clad buxomness for the fathers forced to watch)

    No it wasn't

Manga Entertainment distributed Akira and Fist of the North Star in the 90's which is super confusing and made everyone call Anime Manga, as they were all distributed by the same company over here.

Ahh, that's not really GITS 3.0, it's just a feature-length Standalone complex episode.

    Anyhow, enough semantics more Anime!

The Appleseed movies as mentioned above are really quite good (I prefer the Manga though!)

I have some NGA there, but my mate reccommended I just see the new ones that are comming out. He's got the first 2 so im going to wait for the last 2 and watch it all together.

Tenchi Muyo, seen it maybe 10 years ago? Totally forgot about it. AFAIK it ends quite abruptly and has a few varients of the storys being told/re-told, Tenchi Muyo, Tenchi in love etc.

Looks like there's some things to download! Now all I need is space. I have maybe 5GB free out of 1.6 TB

Edit: I'm not listing movies i've seen here as the list would be ferking huge . So if its an anime movie made of epic win, i've probably seen it
