    Stage 3 xtd clutch

    Hi guys

Ive just picked my s14a up from the garage after having a xtd stage 3 paddle clutch put in

Ive never ran a paddle clutch so just wana check a few things!

Firstly the peddle is now alot lighter than before asing it takes minimal effort to press on the clutch pedal for it to engage

Anyone know if this is normal at all??

The pedal will depend on clutch brand, my exedy feels like a standard light pedal where as the carbonetic clutch was so stiff I had to borrow one of arnie's legs to push it.

LOL!!! Carbonetic is not even remotely stiff. I had Carbonetic pressure plate before and it was a lot lighter than the ACT Extreme I have now. And even that is not very stiff....

XTD's are normally light, give it 500-1000 miles bedding in time and it will feel stiffer and have a better feel, if it doesn't slip and engages then its probably ok

I had 2 XTD's and they were blinding for the money and Stage 1a power, its a 6 puk uprated disc with a near standard pressure plate I believe

My xtd stage 3 on my ca18det is lighter than standard, done over 6k in it so far all good but make sure you bed it in properly very light driving for 500 miles and lots of gear changes
