Misfire under low load
Hi guys as above my s14 has developed what sounds like a misfire under low throttle input. As in cruising at 70 kind of throttle. It hesitates and sounds like it's misfiring. If I squeeze the throttle just a tad more it instantly goes the way it should. Boost increases normally and she boosts nice and hard when floored. I have stage 1a mods on a standard map running just under 1bar. Any ideas? I'm guessing coil packs or sparkys!

Bump! Anyone? Some googling has suggested maybe Idle control valve or leaky BOV. I will delete the BOV and clean the idle control valve this weekend and see if it helps but any suggestions in the mean time will help.

I had a slight occasional misfire which was fixed by changing the lambda sensor. Worth checking to see if the lambda sensor signal is as it should be?

Awesome thanks buddy. I'm making a check list of everything to look at, change or clean so all suggestions welcome!

Unless it's been done recently, I suggest cleaning the wire in the AFM Air Flow Meter.
That should be considered a service item on 200SXs. Do it every oil change at least.
Two screws, and then a gentle spray with carb cleaner or brake cleaner will do it

I have done that recently (about 3 or 4 months ago but definitely one to add to the list as it's a nice easy one! Thanks

I have this exact issue.
Seems to be when cruising on the motorway around 60mph and it's intermittent. Recently had the plugs out and given them a good clean but they were replaced recently anyway.
If you squeeze the throttle more the turbo kicks in and the misfire goes away, so i'm pretty sure it's electrical.

My issue was lambda sensor. Unplugged it and the problem went away
