So I've been lazy and not been on the forum recently so here's a few pictures of where I'm at, pretty much ready for the road with a bit of tidying up, side skirts and alignment, and a few niggley bits I'm missing...

Suppose this is due an update!

Erm... so the car is on the road, run in, although not quite finished!

Still need to put the skirts on, flare the arches, lower a bit more etc....

Hydraulic lifters need to come out and be either re-bled or replaced as they tap like f**k when the car is cold, manifold needs zircotec coating or something as it’s roasting everthing under the bonnet that isn’t heat protected, and it needs an oil cooler of some sort Fitting too, but we’re getting there!

Looks really nice dude,,the white and them wheels goes together nicely,,not sure why but thinking a black roof would look cool
maybe try it in photoshop first though,, good to read it works and just needs some tweaks

UPDATE TIME! It’s a big one too!

I’m so chuffed! But I’ve been told the car stalls if you go flat out and dump the clutch, H-dev recommend it has a re-circulating dump valve fitted but I don’t know much about them.... anyone give me some input? Good? Bad?

Either way all the work has finally paid off!!!

A recircing DV is fine because you don't lose any metered air. HKS seem popular.

My shit phone won't let me see your numbers. What did you get ? 400s ?

Ahhh good, I’ll have one fitted then!

412.6hp and about 340 ft/ib maybe a little bit more torque (photo I received doesn’t give a clear indication of torque)

Mega impressive numbers, forgot your exact engine spec but didn't expect it to go near to or over 400 !!!,the head and cams are stock I thought?
regards the recirc as jonny mentioned a recirc fitting on a SQV 3 (jon200 on here was making the fittings for the sqv 3)
the way the valve works (pull/pivot rocker) the more boost you run the better the valve seals,no other brand uses that valve sealing system
the others (Forge piston type etc) rely on vacume alone to seal and imo can leak/bleed off boost pressure or stick part open if you lift off slowly

The only mods the head has is HKS 264 8.5 lift cams, Tomei cam pulleys, ARP head studs, 1.6mm multilayer gasket

Well H-Dev are going with a forge one, I don’t expect to be lifting off slowly so we’ll see!

looks like a decent power gain from the cams and no peaky power curve, nice 100 lbs ft torque gain at 3.5>4.5 revs
that ex manifold might be helping/working well with the cams as well
same cam specs stock head with springs only with more turbo Mobne made 497 atw's

A while back I tried a pre R2D2 Sard,Blitz SS and dual versions, bailey single and twin piston,a cossie collins motorsport group A thing, all as vent to atmos
all caused running issues/stalling and intermittant dicking about running ok then cr@p
,did recirc and vent atmos on the 14a sr20 with the hks sqv 3 and worked good so stuck with that for both
the only one didn't try was the forge as vent atmos or recirc tbh after any fails with piston types, but if h dev use it must be ok

Forgive me not remembering clearly, but you built the engine yourself, yes ?

Yep, with a little help from star engineering, to check everything over, get the crank balanced etc etc, gave me some warranty then

    That must be very satisfying.

420 bhp from an I-did-it-myself engine and 340 lb ft. No wonder you spun it up in the wet racing F-Types

It’s very satisfying! Since I experimented and did things that people wouldn’t usually do, especially turbo wise, who would of thought a small turbo would make them numbers!

So I picked the car up from H-Dev yesterday evening, and oh my, it goes like sh*t off a shovel! And it’s like a completely different car to drive!

Now I’ve just got a lot of cleaning, and my wheels need a bloody good polish which is going to be a day’s work itself

But all in all, amazing, I love it, couldn’t be happier!
