    This/these any good?

    Hi, anyone had experience of these:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/XTD-13LBS-...item19e7b3b506

    To fit a 420->440 hp SR20DET

    Thanks,

    I looked into getting one of these... Very cheap but small print says Customs tax and handling etc isn't included so beware of very expensive hidden costs

    Cheers Ste, chat about it on Thurs?

    Plus, you can tell me more about this thing you call "faceBook", is it based on the new thing I hear is called the 'Magic Known As Electrickery"? I'm not sure my 18th century brain can handle anything more advanced than Pixies & lantern oil...

    I've just got the XTD paddle clutch and flywheel, was like £250odd from that company in America. Got charged £18 in import, £6 of which was a bullshit DHL 'admin' fee...

    Can't comment on it yet though, as I've not had a chance to fit it.

    Not sure if they've changed the website at all but last time I looked at the comp clutch site their sr20det clutch/flywheel pack looked the same as the XTD?

    I've had a couple of the XTD ones in the past and they are pretty good, specially for the cost. Customs fees aren't much on them either.

    Slamz, I won't need to decide until Mid->late March, so if you do get to test it before, would be good to know. Knowing what ParcelFeckkers charge, £6 is a Steal!!

    Customs fees might not be much, but you should have to pay VAT on top of that...

    You're right of course bahis, but paying VAT for me has been truly hit or miss by experience recently. Oddly, package value seems to have had little additional influence one way or the other

    Within the last 12 months, approx 50% of my non EU purchases have had VAT added where they should have, & one item that should not carry the tax was taxed... Around 2 of 5 has had a fee levied by the UK side delivery agent, which I accept on higher value items, but when they add it to a low value item it smarts. The fact that I have not entered into an agreement in advance with them means I could argue against the fee in court, due to them withholding the delivery of the goods until a non previously agreed payment is made. But, as has been pointed out on here, importing the item fully oneself would take an awfully solid chunk anyone's time, & in my specific case depriving me of the essential time required to write overly long & unnecessarily verbose responses on here!

    I bliddy can't win.

    ps. Some naughty exporter types are willing to smudge the value &/or status of the package to the importers benefit, but it tends to be only the smaller organisations that play with that ball
