So finally had it rolling roaded and expected it to be down on power as the map isnt right but it was worse than I expected

    287.7bhp
I should be at around 350bhp

But I got multiple compliments on how it looked

So progress is slow as I have gone back to uni now and the car is coming off the road at the end of the month but there will be some decent progress over the winter months with a new sill from spice weasel to put on, the diff to fit, subframes to powdercoat and underneath to be re undersealed.

However here are a few bita from the past few week!

    Some domo reservoir socks

So some progress at long last!

Finally got the funds to get a decent manifold from Wardy!

Here is the turbo set up that will be going on, its a GT2871r with a Tial v-band exhaust housing

And here is fitted to the manifold with the external wastegate

Running a Demon Motorsport wastegate on recommendation from Wardy who ran 2 on his rb30!

Just need to get it fitted now then can sort out elbow, screamer pipe, intercooler pipes and oil/water lines!

Did you find out why it was down on power?

Went and picked up some new wheels not perfect fitment or sizes but cheap

    18x8 et37 front
    18x9 et35 rear

So.need some spacers and should look spot on!

They are 3 piece splits so will be getting a refurb before they go on

Go careful with that cheap wastegate. Iv blown engines after having wastegate issues. It might be ok at first but will it hold up to the prolonged extreme in temperatures? Avoid Tial stuff also (a lot of issues with leaks of the valve stem). Turbo smart gates are a good option.
If you intend to still use it just keep your eye on it and your boost.

Using the demon motorsport wastegate as seen some decent reviews and wardy ran two on his rb30 and they were fine but I will keep my eye on it. For £60 compared to £250 I couldn't say no to trying it

Buy cheap buy twice and all that, plus an engine is more expensive than a wastegate.

    Turbosmart FTW

The demon motorsport gates are UNDER rated due to people being too afraid to say they have one fitted. As people like your self that have had issues in the past brand all cheap gates as bad gates. Where as the Tial gates are expensive and are hit & miss in terms of a good one, surely a company like that have quality control.

But i have to Agree turbosmart make a brilliant wastegate.

But having said that when i make my self a toy to abuse it will have 2 demon motorsport wastegates aswell as some other cheap parts.

So much fake Tial stuff around you've got to be really careful where you buy from.
