So if you hadn't guessed I am going to have a fun time trying to get the wheels to fit under the standard arches! But with help from willtheyfit.com and a bit of maths I have worked out that the rim itself will stick out a further 8mm. For the old wheels to fit all that was needed was the lip rolling flat so I think I should be able to roll and flare the arches enough to get the new ones under with slightly smaller tyres, which are currently 295s.

Has anyone had any experience of fitting 11s on the back of an s14?

So last night Jake (misterjake) came round and we set about removing the front bumper and boot lid for him to borrow while his are away at the paint shop. I have never seen a front bumper fastened on that well before! So many bolts.

So now it has started I'm hoping it carries on and is stripped ready for paint in no time!

NooOOoOoOOOOoooOOo!!! Only just seen what happened to 'the blue one'. Was easily one of my favourite 14's. You have to make this one look the same. Colour, wheels, the lot. Good luck with your venture

Thanks and It is going to be the same colour but with different wheels, too many people running XXR 530s now! It will also be much cleaner and better condition wise!!

The blue one was one of my favourite s14a's ever!

Shame about the accident but if it wasn't for that you could still be driving around in a potentially dangerous car without even knowing!

Just bought a s14a so will be following this for some inspiration

So today I started some actual work on the red nissan following removing the front bumper with jake.

First off was to build my racking to store the removed parts on

So far I have removed all the lights the intercooler and all the pipework, the water bottle and a few other small parts

    More to come soon

Also tried the new wheels on the back

So the current set up is 295/40/18 tyre so planning on trying a 245/35 and see how that fits

The arches are standard atm and havnt even been rolled so getting them to fit will be fine!

Do you know what would look great next to that shelf? A nice solid table

    Cheap to a local ...

Great to see the effort your putting in to this car. You could easily have been put off the whole thing by your bad experiences

So made a little more progress tonight after work

manifold, turbo and elbow removed as someone wanted to buy the elbow

    Turns out its mint!
Very very little play side to side and no play in or out, its better than some of the brand new turbos we get in at work!

Also been playing on stuner which is awesome!
and decided this is what it will look like by mid summer this year!

Made some more progress this weekend with the red Nissan and here are the photos!

Firstly I removed the radiator, fan cowl and viscous fan

Then I removed the power steering and air-con pump from the engine so I didn't have to drain either of the systems

I decided to remove the engine without the box as it looked easier and here she is!

And here are some of the 'fancy' bits that will be going back on!

    Apex short shifter

    Hel braided brake lines

    Hel braided clutch line

Then today I set about removing the front wings as they are a little rusty and I will be running import spec wings without the side indicator which will be relocated to the Us spec side marker location

Then i removed the side skirt to see what the sill was like underneath and it looks very clean!

Also thought I would put the OMP steering wheel and quick relase boss to good use and put it on the mx5

And here are a couple of photos of the rot on the blue nissan!

    More to come next weekend!
