If you're photographing the drifting I would recommend a good Zoom no where really to view that's close.

Last corner before pit straight is probably the best place, flat to the floor 4th gear through there

I enjoyed watching the bikers absolutely melting in their leathers and near 30 degree heat, while we sat round wearing shorts and drinking pints
