Perhaps when tightened the coilover top distorts the bodywork a bit to give a snug fit ??
It wouldn't distort it that much if at all as all the weight of the car goes through it so has to be strong, I do believe it is supposed to be like that as I have looked on google images and many other s13s are the same

Head unit, amp and speakers all wired up, then cosmetically tidied up.

My intention is to use the boot as the speaker enclosure. I will make a cover for the top so rearwave doesn't get to the front (acoustically-minded will know what i mean). It's likely i will improve this setup at some point by using a sub, going active etc.

Just seen this thread. I wasn't sure on the colour early on but now it's back on it's wheels it looks lovely. Those rims are perfect also Prob missed it as i've been skimming through but are you planning to fit skirts?

Thanks - glad you like it. I did buy skirts but have decided against fitting them - I feel it makes the car look fatter and doesn't add to the aesthetics. The fact the front and rear bumpers go a bit lower isn't an issue IMO but some may not like the look. I also think the rims are perfect but they were very expensive.

I am having black carpets, black leather/Alcantara Cobra seats, a leather/suede Momo steering wheel and carbon fibre rear strut brace fitted. I'm getting a basic Tracker fitted and I have a kill switch installed. Will be garaged and used as a 2nd/weekend-type car on limited miles. Need to sort insurance now.

Nice looks similar to my audio install
