I'm currently hoarding parts to put on my new shell which is sat in the driveway. I'm hoping to be somewhere near around May time. Well minus wheels and a respray!

Mines going off the road shortly, Gave me 55k of pretty trouble free miles (excluding the 2 gearboxes and 3 clutches *cough*) but the time has come. With that in mind, I'll respond to this thread in about 5 years time when it's done
edit: realised it's about 2014, I'll reply to the 2019 version

Yeah hoping to post more regularly to the Instagram account linked in my sig with updates on the rebuild it's been very sporadic over the last few months.
I got a little test painting done on the weekend around the battery tray. But it was mostly cleaning and there will be a lot more of that before it's ready for the full rust proofing. found one small issue on the new chassis so far in the passenger side front wheel arch where some sealant had come away at the bottom of the engine bay and allowed a little rust in will have to take a picture. It's only minor at least with about a square inch of metal effected, so will be easy to cut out and patch. had a good snoop around everywhere else and the body is in very clean with only a few spots of surface rust on it.
Hopefully with the days now getting longer, weather getting better etc... progress will speed up rapidly on it and once I get all the time consuming "patience required" parts taken care of I'll be getting some help with the mechanical stuff so things should speed up. Apex Performance will be receiving a shopping list before that too been saving all that tax money while it's been off the road, as I'll will need to replace all the engine seals etc... during the transfer.
Just took mine out of the garage yesterday for a quick warm up, still a good bit left to finish but hope to be back on the road in april
Wow! This thread's actually making feel optimistic that not all the fun cars have left the Irish shores! Keep 'em coming folks!
