310hp out the 2.3 and I bet thats easy 350hp with just a map, nearer 400hp with bolt ons and a map.

Its RWD and its a coupe.... yet people are shitting on it... after bitching about how there are no affordable RWD coupes.... this is what the GT86 should have been performance wise!

Hear, hear ! If Nissan had made it, we'd be wetting ourselves.

I'm no fan of Fords generally (though I did have a 'stang when I was in the States) and I for one am really, really pleased that Ford have seen fit to make a Mustang that works in the UK.

Base is listed as 1600kg - so not light, but kinda average for a mid sized coupe.

Run of the mill Fords yes, special ones no. Look at Focus RS prices, still going for what they were new nearly. This is not just a RWD coupe Ford are launching, its a Mustang

Ford have pulled a master stoke IMO and I find it hilarious its stuck in so many peoples throats who refuse to like it because its a Ford and it will be shit like a Mk5 Escort For me this is the best car since the Escort Cossie I do wonder what it will do for the price of 2nd hand LHD Mustangs though, bet the owners are shitting themselves.

I don't see many people not liking it becuase it's a Ford. I find the opposite, a lot of people grew up with Ford's as their early cars and have affection for the brand.

I'm still out on the look of the rear, I know its 'traditional' but it looks so dated compared to the front.

How many left says they peaked at about 700, surely they sold more than that? Currently around 590 left.

Thet changed the name tho, IIRC it was Monaro for 2 years.
Then later it was VXR8 or something??

Also it was back in the day when people thought petrol was expensive so they didn't buy big thirsty cars.

It's too heavy to be a serious performance car for me, but is about par for the market at the moment, and got a lot going for it, hope it does well

There's a difference between not liking it and just thinking it won't sell massively in our market.

Just like there's a difference between loving it and actually laying down the cash to buy one new.

Market conditions are vastly different from when the 200SX, 350Z, RX-8, Impreza sold by the boat load. Nissan easily sold every one of the 1,000 350Z they brought each year. Only ~300 370Zs have been registered in the last couple of years combined.

Yea but thats partially because they basically just freshened up the 350, called it the 370 and punted it back out for sale again.
It wasn't new or exciting enough IMO.

Not saying it's a bad car, it's just abit meh.

I think the fact that it has that huge black insert stops a lot of the colours from working. The blue looks good from all angles except the rear.

So you don't consider the M3 or RS5 serious performance cars either then? Even R8s weigh 1600kg
