    Overfueling (Probably)

    Hi Guys,

My car seem to be flooding when trying to start, I boldly gathered my tools and went to the car yesterday before I realised I don't really know what I'm looking for .

So hopefully I can turn to you guys for some guidance.

    Some history:
Starting in the summer it used to have a little trouble starting, nothing much, a small blip of the throttle when starting got it running fine.
Now it has gotten much worse, it won't start unless I pull the fuel pump fuse let it start and die, then put the fuse back in then pedal to the floor when on ignition. It may be coincidence but it seems to get worse with the colder weather.

After it has been running for a while and has warmed up its fine when starting again until the next morning.

Also this may be related, it has quite a high idle (circa 1.k5K) before it warms up, settles down to around 950 after.

    What I've done:
    Cleaned AFM
    Replaced AFM with spare
    Cleaned breather pipes
    Scratched head

    Related mods:
    Mongoose exhaust from elbow back.
Superchip in ECU (this has been on the car since I bought it and hasn't given me a problem before so I've never bothered to change it)

So far nothing has made a difference. I have considered the possibility of the fuel filter but don't have a replacement to hand.
I'm not really sure what I should be checking/replacing next, any suggestions or guidance would be most appreciated

Engine coolant temp sensor?throttle position sensor?

Just done an ECU check re this thread: http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.p...gnostic-on-ecu

    Came back no fault found.

Would the sensors still be faulty? How would I test them? I can see the TPS and its plugged in, where is the coolant sensor?

Hot start still present. I don't think its a boost leak, the car performs normally after it has been started and when giving it the beans the is no hesitation or "kangerooing".

Remove the hot start as when it fails can cause massive overfueling issues. Tps could be incorrectly calibrated. Losen off the bolts holding it on and adjust it as per service manual

Just checked this and the intake pipe fell off. Must have been a bit loose

I'll see how it starts in the morning. Cheers for the help so far!

No problem. But ditch that hot start solonoid. Their very problematic and can cause several issues.
