    Good quality wheel nuts

I've got a set of wheel nuts on my S13 that are 20 years old and they are like new.

The wheel nuts on the wife's Impreza are 12 months old and they are rusty and scabby and generally letting the whole car down yet they get the same treatment regards use and cleaning.

So, where can I get a set of wheel nuts for the Impreza that will work with the Rota Gra's fitted and will last at least 5 years before looking scabby.

I'd like them to be external drive, chromed (or at least silver) and not stupid money i.e. < £100

The locking wheelnuts seem to be OK.

I've looked on ebay and spoken to Ben at Rarerims but not found anything yet.

Have you used any of them ? How are they different to the ones on ebay ?

I need ones that won't need replacing 12 months from now.

    Anybody bought/used BIMECC nuts ?

They are Italian and claim to be high quality stainless.

Like I said, I spoke to Ben but he couldn't help me.

The ones fitted are the ones that came with the wheels...from Rarerims.

I'm really pleased with the wheels, just the nuts are crap.

I had, for a short period of time, internal drive stainless Bimecc nuts holding my wheels on. Only reason I swapped them out was they were just that little bit too big and were rubbing the paint off the wheels. They also weighed a lot, well, for wheel nuts they were impresively weighty. The stainless did tarnish a little but they seemd to remain tight.

I'm now running Rarerims internal drives but they've already rusted a little on the thread. I bought the flashy copper nuts off Tweeks but they were too big so I had to return them sadly. I'd be using them if they did a slimline version.

EDIT: Ignore me. I didn't read "internal drive"

Where did you get the BIMECCs from ?

We have the Bimecc ones as well - although I dont think the tuners are Stainless, just plated steel as with the ones with the wheels. Which brand do you have now?

Sorry Ben, are you asking me or Blaktooth ?

If me, I've just got the ones that came with the Gras

Do you have any stainless ones from BIMECC that will fit in the lug holes of the Rota Gras ? I'd prefer external drive but internal drive should be OK if they are stainless.

BImecc dont do a stainless nut, but they do one with a stainless cover. I have just spoken with them

The other alternative is to use not covers to smarten them up!
