Help won't let me drive above 3.5k

Hi guys after not driving it for about a week due to the exhaust manifold leaking

    I've now experienced some issues
I have a bee r limiter fitted and is set the same as it always had been I've noticed my backbox has broken where the hanger is my first idea was maybe the back pressure is causing this

But on idle revving it goes to 8k as normal please help me I'm so annoyed I just want to go skidding

There is nothing in the standard Nissan wiring which could cause a 3500rpm limit. Problems like boost leaks, broken spark plugs or broken exhausts might make it run badly or noisily, but nothing links to 3500rpm, or any particular rpm limit.

It has to be a problem with the bee-r

As a seperate issue, I know Bee-R limiters are often frowned upon by S14 people who have used them, as the valvegear on the SR engine can be provoked to fail by the Bee-R. CA engines in the S13 don't seem to have the same trouble.

If the air flow meter is disconnected it can generate a rev limit somewhere around 2200rpm.

    What's limp mode in an S14 ?

Get rid of the bee r

Std rev limit 7200 so if it goes to 8 what's been changed

Rev up in neutral is under no load - so check for condition of plugs coils and boost pipes as those would be route of problems when load introduced

Yeah the bee r has been working fine and had no is sure apart from loss of power there is a serious leak before the turbo so I havnt got power but still used to build up revs past that and redlined up to 7.5k sorry ,

I havnt changed any settings since driving it last though ..

It's so strange driving it last night round the block it very slowly goes above 3.5k but takes Afars getting past it , but off load revs to redline

Also it did take ages to start up and while trying to start it and every 2 seconds while turnin the key I could hear a puff
Through the exhaust them it started
And seemed fine after that ....

There is still the issue of it will not rev through while driving past 3.5k
I've turnt the bee r off aswell could it be the lack of back pressure as it's a massive leak just before the manifold and now a
Massive hole in my backbox Sunday I will be looking at changing the the coilpacks and checking the spark plugs

    How big was the hole?

I'd say we were all completely hopeless in this thread, but the hole must have been hefty, and I still can't see why 3500rpm in particular was a limit
