S14 heater blower only working on position 4

As title really, 1995 S14, the interior heater only works when on position 4. Do they have a separate rheostat or is in all in the a.c panel which could cause this problem?
    Cheers

Common fault.... Heater resistor card. Have a search, lots of threads about it. It's located under the glove box.

Very common problem with them, either try and repair or replace with a new/second hand card

Thanks for the link Mike, that's really useful. Mine has randomly stopped working on 1-3 and only works on #4 so i'll pop the card out tonight and have a look.

It's not easily repaired as the resistor that dies needs removing from the card,or bypassing somehow
,and the tracks melt when trying to re-solder another resistor onto the card,I gave up trying to repair one
It may work if it is a dry joint like the link suggests, but I found they corrode like crazy and ruin the board anyway
that link is from 2003 afaik
I have a good working tested spare card for £20 delivered,
£55 + vat from nissans and 2 month order time someone mentioned on here recently

I was able to repair old by soldering it, another I couldn't. I ended up melting the board trying to make a connection... I think I paid roughly €60 for the card from Nissan. They were able to get it in within a few days though.

Popped mine out last night, couldn't see anything obviously wrong with it so I guess the resister is knackered.

Picking up a known good spare tomorrow. If that one fails i'll probably just purchase a brand new one from a K11 micra for £20.
