    A little update from today!

I've wire wheeled back all the rust at the front of the inner sill. And then treated with 2 coats of hydrate 80 ready for 2 coats of Electrox tomorrow.

On the down side found a little bit more rot! Nothing to serious and a easy fix!

A little hole in the chassis rail. Just needs chopping out and plating up!

Also got my fibre glass wings dropped of to me Friday night! These are apparently 30mm wider (unsure of the make) but offered up shows that I will be able to run a lot wider tyre that actually fits my wheels properly!! They need quite a bit of prep work but most fibre glass stuff does!

And also got my dash back from flocking! It looks awesome!

    A well over due update!!

Not many pictures im affraid as i literally popped in the garage to grab a few quick photos!

Things have changed quite a bit since my last update.

Both sills are now fully welded up!! The floor is totaĺly welded now, with strengthing plates welded in place for each foot for the cage. The hole in the chassis rail has been chopped out and welded up.

The only welding left to do undernesth is on the boot floor really.

Rich has also started tubbing the arches this week ready for me to run the over fenders. He has taken around a 1.5 inches to 2 inches out which should give me plenty of clearance for the wider tyres instead of stupidly stretched tyres!

Things have made a massive change in direction in other areas of the car to like i have purchased another engine

It a 2.2l hks stroker engine built by abbey motorsport for Brett Castles S14a.

    Short spec of the engine
    hks 2.2l stroker bottom end
    hks 1.5mm head gasket
    hks double valve springs
    hks step 3 cam
    hks adjustable cam pulleys
    solid head
    greddy sump

The list goes on and on!!

So this mean my other forged engine is now up forsale

I have also bought a stack load of other parts to!

    A exedy twin plate clutch

Hks gauges including boost, oil temp, oil pressure and exhaust gas. Im now on the look out for a air fuel ratio gauge i like to have in the car to.

Ive also purchased a hks intercooler setup which if i remember rightly is a 4 inch or 4.5 inch core.

A nice vertex kit has made its way in the loft at my house to! The mrs wasnt to happy about me having it on the spare bed haha!

I have also purchased a z32 gearbox conversion from piman on here amongst other stuff from him. Hopefully will be collecting in the next couple of weeks.

Im currently working away at the minute and have been doing for the last 4 months. So i dont get as much time on the car as i would like to. But i so grateful to Rich as he still goes round to do the welding which i cant say thank you enough for! Cheers mate

The respray has been pushed back until the end of jan now as the welding has taken a little longer than we expected. But its slowly getting there.

Thats it now for another 5 months haha

    Update time!

Got quite a bit done last weekend with the missus being in Dublin all weekend. Started treating the surface rust on the underneath and in the tranny tunnel! Was a pig of a job just so time consuming!

Treated it all with 2 coats of hydrate 80

And also primed it with 2 coats of electrox

Rich has also managed to fully weld up one of the rear arches and the other is not a million miles away ether.

Picked up some parts aswell last sunday from piman!

    - Z32 gearbox conversion with mazworx adaptor plates
    - charge speed front wings
    - japspeed front and rear lower strut braces
    - ultralite front upper strut brace
    - gk tech abs delete kit
    - apex braided clutch line
    - apex front and rear anti roll bars
    - apexi gt cat back exhaust
    - rear lower arms with driftworks bushes and moog ball joints
    - reconditioned clutch slave cylinder
    - polyuthene exhaust hangers

    Few pics

Most big parts for the build are here now. Just need to get the welding done and get it undersealed and start bolting things back on to get her rolling again.

Shes getting there all be it very slowly!

    Little update.

Just got in from the garage making noise! My neighbours love me haha!!!

Decided im going to strip down the front end apart from the front sumframe to get at any surface rust easier and poly bush the lower arms and for some new lower arm ball joints, also going to send the lower arms to be sand blasted and powder coated.

So weve totally stripped the front hubs and lower arms off. Along with the front anti roll bar.

There is a little bit of surface rust at the bottom of the drivers wheel arch aboit 50mm square that needs wire wheeling and treating. But other than that the front arches look in pretty good condition.

Going to drop the coilovers out to and give them a good clean!

Planning next weekend to burn all my bushes out of the lower front arms and my rear hubs to i can get them all prepped ready for the new bushes to be installed.

Also ordered a few parts from driftworks that will be on there way soon. New bushes for the rear hubs, front lower arms bushes, new tie rod ends, new front ball joints, adjustable front arms and adjustable rear toe arms.

Didnt get many pictures sorry guys!

Its a proper bare shell now

    Thats it for now!
