Without knowing the area/road you can only assume from those pictures that the driver of the titty was driving outside his skills range and not taking the road conditions into account

It's on a slight left hander - in decent condition probably still do-able at 50+ (although it's a 30) but it looks like he's gone straight on

In fact, looking at it again - it looks like he's lost it even earlier than the corner or he'd have taken out the sign....

Looks like it was icier than he was expecting and the car just didn't turn much if at all. Can only think he was going too fast for the conditions. Hope he's ok.

Looking at the first pic he's entered the garden between the two trees and launched over the BMW.

Going by the view in Arrys pic how the hell did he manage that?

Edit; theres more pics in the article, he entered next to the street-name-sign

What a stupid place to put a house. Right in the runoff area of a bend.

Lol. Well if you're gonna crash, might as well do it properly. Frankly, I'm a bit impressed.

    That's a good effort!

He must have been doing at least 60mph surely. 30mph would have let him scrub more speed off before landing and it would have done as much damage to the house.

It's hard to say but, there's not much between the curb and the wall to slow 1500kg of car down, so quite plausible to hit the curb at 30mph, lose 5mph in the process of jumping the curb, hedge and glancing over the cars and hit the wall at 25mph.

Many years ago fella I knew in the auto gear-box trade had similar thing happen to his house but no way as bad as made a hole in the house (more crashed into it and made a big crack appear) after leaving the road on a slight bend and crashing into 2 of his cars then his house, the driver admitted and crash report confirmed it was 80 mph to do the damage he did
so sorry to hear the chaps injured as may be a genuine accident? but to make that much mess he wasn't doing only 30/40 and lost it and jumped into the house imo,
and it was well thought out to build what looks like a kicker ramp with a hedge to hide it outside their house just for when someone leaves the road they get big air

The hedge looks quite substantial. I'd guess it was the hedge that threw the car up in the air.

It's not that part of the road...carry on round the corner and it happen where the road goes round to the right

It is that part of the road, the house in the middle of Arry's pic is the house that was hit.

Follow the road round the corner and it goes round to the right, it's half way on the bend

Yes it does go round to the right, but that's no where near where the car crashed
