South west Christmas Party - Yes I know it's too early!!!

Right guys, i'm trying to get myself somewhat organised while I have a spare hour. Last years christmas meal was a proper disaster to put it mildly. We held it further south than it's ever been before to help our cornish members yet only had rog () actually turn up.

I don't want the same to happen again so what do you guys actually want and where do you want it held???

We had nine people turn up to our monthly meet last night and a grand total of seven s-bodies and thats with missing at least two of the regulars. I'd like at least double that if we can for the Christmas meal else whats the point of moving locations in reality?

Please post suggestions and get involved

Plymouth has worked well in the past. Middle-ish ground for most people but have to agree that if there's more activity further north in the area (which has been the case for a while now) then it would probably be sensible to host it in Newton Abbot. It's easy to access from the A38. Choice of food locations. Good for our new members from Torquay/Paignton and not too bad for Exeter/Honiton/Axminster/Crediton/Tiverton/Cullompton/Taunton etc.

I can help organise if you want Chris.

I may take you up on that offer mate. I might end up doing two meals as the area is so huge people miss out.

I'm currently thinking of one in the Plymouth area and one at the new route 303 diner up this way.

Interesting, where is this? If its not a Xmas venue then maybe another meet. Is the airfield available for a makeshift drag event do you think?

If you do get the go ahead let us know mate. We may be able to fill it for you if you want especially if we add an sxoc subsidy.

Not even nearly decided. It appears I struggle to organise more than one thing at a time. Currently looking at the action day at Combe along with the calendar photoshoots.

I can sort this if desired. I'd book something in Newton Abbot.

Taunton'ish works for me. It's just off the motorway too so easily accessible for the majority of people.
