The only two things that will reduce its value is the fact its an auto and the boot lid.

Both can be fairly easily remedied by the buyer so I'd say its still worth two thousand and something even given the above.

Ignore the chancers saying £1000 or less.

S13s are becoming harder to find and low mileage models are sought after.

If you don't get any joy on this website, try advertising in Practical Classics magazine.

Don't expect it to sell overnight though - the marque attracts lots of people with no money
Exactly what Jonny said, looks very clean! Good luck with the sale!

Saw this at our local meet. Looked very good other than a couple of bits of rust.

Thanks for standing in and taking the pics, Daz

The strut tops are immaculate. That's very rare.

From those detailed pictures, I reckon all that needs is a new boot lid (or careful refabrication), a patch on the drivers rear sill and a sill-down respray and a bit of cleaning effort in the engine bay.

For the asking price plus £400 (assuming you don't weld it yourself), you'd have one of the cleanest, low mileage S13s in the country with great provenance.

...and Daz, where's the pics of the original S13 brochure and service manual ?

Yea I got it just need to sort collection as its 300 miles from me. Only wanted an s13 for around 7 years but never been in the right place at the right time lol.

Initial plans are to get it back up to scratch, sort all the minor bodywork bits out and just enjoy using it. Long term not really sure, I may convert to manual gearbox however it will be staying as close to original as possible with maybe subtle upgrades like better brake discs and pads, etc.

Hopefully get to meet a few members if there are any meets not to far away from me!

    Thanks
    Ian

Wanted one to enjoy and cherish rather than hammer around tracks or drift (id of bought a tatty one if that was the plan) It will be replacing my '89 mr2 which also had low owners and just 76k miles. The 200sx is in better condition than my current car though.

    Hoorah !

So nice to hear of someone that wants a car for its original purpose If you need any help with anything, just PM me and I'll help if I can - be it advice or spares.

Be careful with the boot lid repairs, there are many ways to get it wrong and only a few ways to fix it properly.

Cheers Jonny, I will be taking the car to an accident repair centre and restoration place to do the work, so hope they know what they are doing (they have just finished a full resto on a 1980's Porsche 911 so should be ok)

I imagine its a car of cutting all the rust out and fabricating new metal to go in, then thin skim of filler the paint?? is there anything specific to this repair I should pass onto them?

Think I have already found a buyer for my mr2 and I only advertised it last night, result

Welding needs to be done really slowly on a low heat as they warp for England. Filler will just sink.
