It's me saying i can just get in and drive that's jinxed it

BMW want £490ish per rear spring, eibach at under £180 for the full set. No brainer - see how these are before taking the plunge with coilies.

Custom discs sounds like a complete ballache Sam

To top trump the pair of ya I'm back in the golf for a few days as I am below the wear indicators at the back

BMW can do one, Eibach all the way mate. That's crazy money for a spring and I bet that doesn't even include fitting?

Somethings not right there Mel. I was quoted 100 per rear spring Oem. Plus they did not have enough only one ......cause they always snap.
Im on the eilbachs because of the cost . There alright, not the best though with what I suspect are dampers coming up to their sell by date .

With these springs you can then match them up to a bilstein b6 damper which have been tuned for that spring which in turn makes a b12 kit. For about 650 on top of the springs when your ready. Makes for a good set up by all accounts fit and forget. It's in the plans for mine anyway

Thanks for the tip Rory, definitely something I'll look into nearer the time. As long as the eibach aren't completely bone shattering they'll do the job for now

I just had to replace a snapped rear on my 330cd, what do BMW make them out of??? cheese?

I swapped the rather appalling msport rubbish for eibachs and the ride is a lot better.

Yeah I think me getting all uppity on that other thread about being able to just jump in and kick it's hole in didn't do me any favours

Thankfully Reyland seem to be able to do custom rotors so shouldn't be too sore...

Can't you just drive around and not touch the brakes?

All sorted. Eibach pro lowering springs now fitted. Lovely! Still need to settle a little but they feel fine so far.

2 new continental contisport3 or whatever they're called fitted and a broken heaflight levelling arm to top it off.

New front tyres fitted and I've got a wobble at motorway cruising speed.

Had them taken off and the balancing checked and that's fine so I need some suggestions as to where to look next. Bushes? Steering rack or arms generally?

Front lollipops are questionable on E46s, wouldn't be surprised if it was something to do with that?

If it's anything like our E46 (M Sport) - lower arms
We had exactly the same, and some Meyle HD lower arms sorted it

Is that the rtab's? Not up with ze german terminology

Rtab's were next on my list but might as well do the lower arms at the same time.

lollipops are lollipop shaped bushes that the wishbone slots into i think, its been a long time since i did them on my e36, always wear on the front of bms. I bought complete meyle wishbones with new balljoints and lollipops mounted so u can just swap the lot. easier than bush pulling

Meyle dont seem to do arms for the M.

Lemforder do but they seem to have doubled in price in the last year so im going to start with the lemforder wishbone bushes and see if that makes a difference before plumbing for the full arms with balljoints etc.

still going to get some uprated rtabs as future proofing while the other bushes are being done.

I had a ball joint go on me Mel and it did not vibrate at all. You could just hear it knock slightly on uneven roads.

RTAB's ordered as well as these - http://www.ca-int.co.uk/single_prod-...pZD0xNg==.html as that will invariably be the next thing that goes

Another expensive car month, or is it still the same month as the last lot

Ah the woes of never ending spend. I keep looking at what I spend going "yeah but that's only a one off, won't need to spend it next month" yet the one off spends just keep coming!
