S14A Stereo not working , no supply ??

I plugged my double din stereo into my re-build and getting no power to it ?

Thought it maybe the stereo due to it not being tested after crash but tried another and the same so supsect a fuse.

Anyone know which fuse i need to look for ?

    cheers

Perminent live is fuse 19 (7.5amp)

Ignition live is fuse 9 (10Amp) both located in fuse box at kick panel.

It is worth mentioning that you will need to have the stereo fitted in the cradle as this is what it uses for it earth (neg) if its just hanging out the hole it wont work unless you wire a neg to the Chassis of the unit.

They ground through the aerial on an S14. I've removed my aerial so I've ran a new ground.

The aerial was plugged in and the two metal brackets are connected to the cd player but do you mean it needs to be screwed into the dash frame work ?

Yes mate Had the exact same issue, though mine was intermittent power off's, the cradle had some loose from where it bolts to the car and once tightened up, all fixed

I've ran an earth directly into the loom and bolted the ring terminal under the gear shifter bush bolts. Took me a while to figure it out though... lol

Thanks guys , tried it on sat and it works once i installed it properly .

Unfortunately the case has been damaged from the crash so the face does not stay in place !

Im going to see if i can send it off to JVC for a new case as its 5 mins old !

I've been stuck on this one too. I'm beginning to doubt myself when I can't even work out the earth for a cd player.

Had the aerial raising as soon as I plugged the radio in but no power to the unit. The aeriel works on switched live from the unit yes?
