I would like to say a Big Thanks to everyone for all of the Advice, support, encouragement and most importantly the food provided throughout....

I really enjoyed the weekend, unfortunately I felt my car was more competetive on the Saturday as my tyres seemed well gone by the Sunday and my concentration may have been lacking slightly due to the lack of sleep caused by the early morning wake up call/flying Marquee....

I also couldnt believe the difference that removing the bung did to my car, on the journey home, with 3 big guys in the car, and all luggage, the car still seemed equal on power to how it felt on the track with the bung in. I will definitely be buying a quieter exhaust soon to prevent the need for a bung!

I'll be there next year, either to spectate/help or to compete (if invited) providing I can make my car a little more competetive in the meantime. I think all I'll need to gain a second or two will be some better tyres and no bung but at least I have a year to prepare and not two weeks

Howard took loads of photos of everyones cars so once he gets these to me ill bob some up.

    Cheers,
    Fish

just like to say a MASSIVE thanks to Scottie for organising this, was a fantastic weekend, and thank you to the committee for giving me the opportunity to compete. Big thanks to the support crew and members for attending.

Was an awesome weekend the only down side was the weather on the Sunday morning that seemed to damage a few items and leave us gazebo less.

By time I got back on the Sunday I'd managed 480 mile round trip definitely worth every minute, I guess next time I'd have to seriously remove a load of weight from the car to be really competitive, although did managed a 1.9s 60 foot time and a top speed of 145mph and a 12.6 quarter was am happy with that.
Also need to sort out the understeer on the concrete surface

    Again big thanks to all,
    Andy

It works, but craply. It shows each category in turn, so you have to sit and wait for the page you want

You are owed a fiver next time we meet, unless Scottie is sending funds out. I didn't even think about the member discount yesterday when we spoke.
Kieran however, demanded money with menaces as soon as he arrived

EDIT: I suggest to do what Scottie said and PM him your paypal address. I'll almost certainly forget next time.

I am not used to paying membership on a car forum and it actually been worth while haha!

There where 120 entrants, and the organiser said approx 25 rwd cars so I wonder if they are only putting up the top part of the list?
    2004 - on : 1999 S14a 398bhp 378lb/ft
    2010 - on : 2007 RX8 PZ
    1998 - 2004 : 1991 S13

At first I was gonna reply, 'like clue is in the name... 10 of the best...'

But then counted 13 in the Drag one for RWD class

p.s, the Pro drag guys got rinsed by the Class D 4WD lads

The concrete surface at Elvington, plus a few doses of drizzle caused that.
There was a short section after the start line with lots of rubber laid down, but according to the owner of the 1970s Celica dragster camped opposite us, he didn't think it was worth running at all. Once past 10yards of rubber layer, they were all over the place.

Here's two videos on me, one on the handling and one on the drag, thanks to AP2 for these

My times were 48.88s on the handling and 1.98s 0-60foot time, 12.64s @ 111mph on the 1/4 and top speed of 145.6mph, so all in all pretty happy when compared to the not so legal road cars

Class D is the pro class?

Only a few class D entries, mainly cars that turned up without dashboards etc... and got moved into class D for being non-road legal,

Which Pro drag guys got rinsed?
