Have a look on driftworks at cooks tools in the trader section they have some on offer.
what type of jack are you looking for ? long reach ? low profile ? 2 tonne + ?
Arcan jacks are the best at that budget.
Costco have them in at the moment, also some really beefy axle stands for £15 notes.
I want a low entry jack as mine is pretty low .
i will checkout driftworks ;-)
They sell some awesome stuff, wish I could afford half the tools they sell haha
You will recieve it next day aswell
Arcan 3 ton bad boy. Think they're about £70 in Costco. Brilliant trolley jack. So good they use them at my local tyre fitters and have done for years.
Arcan alloy jack. Brilliant jack.

The one I got from Costco was £110ish, only 2 ton, but very light and shiny.

The above one is the nod to get

I find those Costco Arcan's heavy tbh.
Fine for home use but a pain in the ass launching it in and out the SX.
Mine broke but on the whole they seem reliable.
I need a new jack, anyone got a light weight cheaper alternative to the cook tools one?
Don't really wanna spend that much on a jack but if there isn't a good but cheap alternative I might have to really.

they do two arcan jacks. the 2ton aluminium racing jack and the **** off great big 50kg steel 3ton jobbie.
I have the latter... and a bad back
My arcan is an easy one arm lift

I'm looking at new ones too, but had heard that the ally Arcan ones don't wear too well with a lot of use? The steel ones are a lot more aren't they? I don't have a Costco card.
The Cook tools ones look good, but I haven't seen any long term tests of them, just what looks a little bit like instant DW fanboyism.
I've got the Clarke equivalent of the Arcan one (but single piston, so only 1250kg). since it's aluminium, the additional flex in the frame does cause the bolts to come loose over time.
I've now switched them for proper high tensile bolts with permanent threadlock in and the jack now feels much better under use. it's been my main jack for about 4 years of heavy home use, working regularly on about 6 different cars.
This is the one I've got:

This is likely the one I'll buy to replace it soon, this should be better for heavier use and then use the other one as a backup.

current status: 180 a bit broken but to be repaired.
Why would you want a leightweight trolly jack? I don't normally carry mine around like a handbag so the fact it weighs 50kg is surely a good thing. A jack's designed to lift a car for christs sake so I say the bigger and heavier it is the better.
My Arcan jack hasn't shown any signs of wear in the 6 or 7 years I've had it
Arcan Aluminium one, we have had ours for the past 4 years and it's great.
Just bear in mind it's 2 US tons so 1.8 uk tonnes
