    **s14 road/track/drift animal**

Ok, so thought I'd start a build thread on my s14 zenki, I have owned the car for just over a month and bought the car from 's14 rob' on here. It's my first silvia and in fact my first jap car and I love it!!

The car in question is a 1994 L reg import with a little over 51000 on the clock, its had a fair bit of work done to it previously, most of which done in Japan before it was bought over a little over 5 years ago.

Here's some pics from when I first picked her up

The spec list was pretty impressive and thought it'd be a good base to go from, spec was as follows:

    Spec:
    Rebuilt engine
    Tomei pro cams
    Tomei pulley
    rocker arm stoppers
    nismo metal headgasket ( 1.5 ml )
    nismo rod bolts
    ported head
    hugh l FPR
850cc injectors ( just cleaned and flow tested by APT)
    balanced crank
0.2 over size pistons and locker arm WPC processing
Gt3076r mazworx turbo kit , tial 44mm waste gate tubular mani all v band.
De-jetro power fc fitted and mapped at APT
    r34 gtr sized intercooler
    trust oil cooler
    larger water pump pulley
    Samco hoses

    pulsar throttle body
    pure surge tank
    nismo fuel pump
    nismo engine mounts
    uras gearbox mounts
    cusco f&r tower bars
    full roll cage
os giken super skill twin plate clutch ( new plates last year )
    tein tie rods
    cusco 1.5 way diff
    kei office type xr coilovers
    massive anti roll bars
    nismo brace bar lower arms
    piro tension rod
    piro traction rod
    piro toe control arm
    piro upper arm
    skyline caliperas f&r
    17" avs alloys 9j front 10j rear ( just refurbed )
    Brand new toyo R888's
RB 25 gearbox conversion last year
    Greddy gauges
    Blitz turbo timer
    Greddy boost controller

Mapped by Gary at apt making 420bhp @1.3 bar

The plan is to learn to drive it properly, and I mean properly it'll see drift days, track days and will be used on the road.

Since ownership I have changed a few things, first few bits to change were the seats, or seat for now as I had to order a new passenger rail for side mounting, I had some cobra evolutions from a track car I was building but saw sense and broke it up for bits so have a few tasty bits left over for this including a stack dash which will soon find its way in the 14

So got the drivers seat and my harness in

And changed the rear lights to 14a items

I have also changed the snap off steering wheel boss for a lifeline item, again from the old project I had.

Have been a busy boy over the last week or so with the car and will update tomoz when's its all back together

I'm going to be running the same turbo on my rb25, cant wait, looks AEWSOME fun that car.

Have you got a flexi piece in your exhaust running a top mount turbo? If so where of you don't mind me asking?

Hi mate, no there is no flexi on the exhaust, which thinking about it, there probably should be :-/

Righty, done a fair bit on the car this last week, first up was to polish up the headlights as they were terrible and dark in colour, also changed the side lights from crystal lenses to standard clear ones..

    Before..

And now, much better IMO also cut the front plate down slightly as it was kinda large..

Bought a super low bride rail off of Nash for the drivers side as wanted to be slightly lower than the one I had in there, I will probably end up having some bars welded in and just bolt the side mounts to them as would like to be slightly lower still..

Bought an apex rail for the passenger side..will get the passenger seat fitted over the next couple of days ready for jap show.

Fitted some aero catches to the bonnett..

Took the bumper off to be painted as it was cracked along the front and the splitter was pretty damaged, no pics of damage but it was Definately damaged lol

    And now, looking fresh

The biggest change iv made so far be this, bought some new hoses from roose motorsport..

Had the rocker cover, strut brace brackets and bonnet stay powder coated, added the hoses, some nice shines bolts here and there and a good bloody clean in general and booooom!

Think you'll all agree it looks 1000 times better, treated her to some fresh oil and a new filter as well today, will be doing diff and gearbox hopefully next weekend as need to change the diff gasket as its slightly weeping

    Until next week

Nice car, great work on it so far mate!

You only need two tools in life - wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the wd-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

And if you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem!

Time for a little update, since getting the bumper painted and refurbish the headlights I thought id get some new indicator lenses as the o\s bracket was broken so got in touch with a mate at Nissan and got some new ones ordered up, along with some nice fresh side lights..

Also got the last roose hose needed to complete the bay..

    Which gos here..

Got that fitted along with the indicators and side lights..

Front end is looking pretty fresh now, don't suppose it'll be long before the stone chips start to appear though

Also got the passenger seat fitted Saturday before jap show..

Then gave her a bath ready for japshow yesterday..

Had a great day at the show, managed a best time of 12.7 which I was pleased with, just wasn't too happy with the launches I was doing, I need more seat time and with a decent launch reckon I can get ink the 11s no problem. Was on rock hard suspension (track set up) and fully inflated tyres, only did the 4 runs as didn't want to break something before the weekender in a few weeks. The four runs I did were a 12.8 two 12.7s and a 13.

As I say though was happy to get in the 12s on the cars first outing to the pod

A short vid Nash got of me....I do have a couple in car vids from the gopro I will upload soon also..

Next up is new coilovers and a windscreen
