They are on the list for 'upgrade as require replacing' dude

Don't think they are far off like

Not yet dude. Need to run down the current ditch finders before messing with power. They are lethal in the damp. Scrabbling for grip in 3rd

Funds are going on getting the SX back to toy spec, so the Dai won't be getting a Celica head and T28 anytime soon

Going to pull off the 70s graphics in the next few days while the weather is dry and cold. Make way for something new, ultra-geeky and genius

Also just ordered the bits for the Car PC which you can follow on my thread over in the electrics forum

On another note of fail. Changing a stop/tail bulb. Why you so hard to work on little car!

Couple of people who didn't see the car at the Weekender have asked me to make some vids of it, here is a short vid showing some real world mid range acceleration.

Will post a better one up soon though

So car PC bits are finally on order

In the meantime the YRV got its power upgrade for Christmas to go with its new livery which should be ready very soon

Gwyn only acquired a blooming ARC reactor for me

    Also....its works.

Been given a tuning plan to get the little guy up to 180hp by a dude who has tuned his to be the most powerful K3VET in russia.

Anyone got an AFC and a set of 1jz injectors lying around?

I knowwws. So tempting but S14 rescue takes priority on the spends.

In other news. Just dropped the Dai at Smoody's for some bodywork TLC

What's this like on juice (mpg etc?), and how is the auto box?

Juice, I have had 38mpg out of it with mostly careful driving.

Auto box is fine with the tiptronic override. The tiptronic plays things on the safe side a little by not letting you shift down too quickly under braking, but this is no DSG box by an means I have had loads of autos and this is one of the best

Little update. De rust is complete. Just need to get the old and new paintwork to the same standard, then onto phase 2. Ooh, set of green stuff up front and it actually stops now

Yeah dude. They bite great now they have cleaned the discs up a bit. I reckon smaller non-turbo pads were fitted previously as these contact a lot more of the disc
