I seem to remember Daihatsu were quite close to Toyota in platform sharing (Yaris?) and Perodua as well more recently.

It's a shame Toyota has run them into the ground, now only making kei cars for Asia
A lad in our office has a YRV 4trak and a quick walk across the car park proved that nope - the 4wd version also has drums on the back.

Also reading up on rear disc conversions people have tried it in the past using the Yaris T-Sport discs and only ran into mega bias problems and had to revert back.

I am talking to Dan about beefing up the fronts nicely though .

Or mini wheels with wobble bolts. Get some 12" ultralites on there
Where ever you go, never take an idiot with you. You can be sure you'll find one when you get there.

Haha. Might be able to drop to 14 inch but not much more will go over the 264mm discs and callipers. Shame as some Mini 13ins Starmags would be awesome on a 50mm drop

Pity you mention that, last month I'd have practically given my Watanabe's away for this project.
Got them powdercoated on a whim tho, so I'll be keeping em.

Some updates. After chatting to Dan@DB about upgrades for the stoppers...a course of action of trying EBC yellow on the front and trying to source some uprated shoes for the rear drums. I would have preferred mintex m1155s but just cant find them for these callipers.

Meanwhile inside the car the previous owners use of the car as a dog van needs to be taken care of

The cover up continues after a couple of set backs.

In the mean time though I just nicked Luke's BT OBDII doohickey out of his Rex and this is what the YRV is doing.

    No stored ECU errors.
    Boosting to 9psi in 1st and 2nd.
    12 psi in 3rd and 4th.
Avg 35.3mpg on the way home with no short 2k shifting.

Anyone know how to get the AFR working on Torque for Android?

    Weekend of fail

Tried sealing the dash wrap and it just pulled off the lot.

    Then today the battery died

Picked up a new one at teatime and the 5 min job to swap it became a 45 minute job when I dropped the long retainer onto the subframe down the side of the gearbox

The 24inch screwdrivers eventually saved the day

But note that the YRV's lightweight bonnet isn't thick enough for a magnetic light to stick to it

Did you get the discs I mentioned?
Or did you just go for the pads? I am very impressed with the brakes I have on the ignis.
