guess the film competition

basically ive been trying to find out about a film i watched years and years ago on the sci fi channel at about 2 in the morning

its a japanese film i think (asian at least) about a glove thats able to unleash the lost potential of the human brain (think limitless but in glove form)

all i remember is that its set in the future, and the police now have these gloves but they are not as good as the original as they just improve strength as opposed to unlocking the dormant side of the human brain,

any guesses?

Erm, lol, well i'm just a bit of a freak I guess when it comes to films, always have been and there was something in the back of my mind reading this last night, I may well have seen this years and years ago at 2am on the sci-fi channel

also there is another film i was thinking off,

i think it was a gangsta film, set in late 40's america (but don't quote me)

all i remember about it is that there is a bar which features a few times and there is a bloke who gives lessons on the juke box on how to sing "la bamba", i don't think he has any lines, more referenced from across the bar by someone conversing with the main character.

this scene wasn't exactly crucial to the plot but its something i've remembered for ages
