It sounds like an earth problem. Either recheck/redo earths or get something like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/T1-Audio-T1-.../dp/B001T2KZ62

Are you running power line to the amp down the same side as the speaker line?

    its wired in as follows
    headunit with adapter blocks
amp lines to boot down center
battery in boot with amp next to it
power straight from battery and other power from headunit
    earthed back to battery
speaker wires run from boot to each spoeaker down the sides

power cable for engine runs down drivers side

I got this same annoying ****ing problem. But its only when both f and r channels are plugged into the amp at the same time. If only one is plugged in its fine.

If u resolve this let me know.

My powerline is run down same side as rcas butnin the real world i dnt know if thisnmakes a difference. I might buy some decent sheilded rcas.

Haha as long as the speaker wires don't cross or run along side a power line it'll rule that out. I've seen that causing an issur before

As above its the 2 cable touching causing interference. You may be able to insulate them

    I don't 100% get why

Personally I would run the cables down opposite sides of the car. Sometimes the sound will change with the rev aswell

Earth the head unit to the same place as the amp... The whine is caused by a ground loop... or get a ground loop isolator and plug that into the RCA leads

So just run a lead from where the hu is esrthed to where the amp is earthed? Or do you need to disconnect your hu earth and run it to the same place as amp?

Is it just a difference in potential then?

Obviously i can get those devices but will that cure? I need 3 ffs lol

ive just done it myself, however my battery is totally flat as i have no turbo etc so cant charge the fricken thing.

i just upgraded my amp n sub too.

so once i got power lol il test it and report back.

i just linked the two earthing points with a 1.5mm flex core hopefully this removes any potential difference in grounding or something. could be totally wrong tho.

Ok I've got a little further with this but still not fixed
If I run the ground from the headunit to the amp ground the buzzing calms down a lot
But my gauges are on a different ground and when I attach it again the buzzing becomes louder than before
Also the altinator noise is still there too

Now my head is buzzing more than the system
    Any help?
