    Copper plug option

I'm just going to get some new plugs but they don't list BCPR7ES anymore. Is there an alternative?

    Who don't list them?

They must be available, quite a common plug aren't they?

    NGK BKR7E
They are the copper equivalent to the iridiums that come up as an 'upgrade' option on sparkplugs.co.uk and the iridiums Jez@HD sells for SR's

Apparently the BCPRs are discontinued so its only whole stocks last that people have them

    Sparkplugs.co.uk have BCPR7ES for a tenner a set.

Also, BCPR7E are the same plug but don't have the removable cap on the top. As you need the cap for a 200, they are as good as a BCPR7ES. They are a few pennies over a tenner though...for some reason

BKRs are NOT interchangeable with BCPRs as the insulator length is shorter. The coilpacks will need to have an extra 10th of an inch reach to connect properly.

EDITED: to correct the source of info.

Also, NGK still list BCPR7ES on their website under part number 6282 so no evidence to suggest they have been discontinued.

Who said they were discontinued ?

I have an s13. But it has an s14 engine.

I read that the BCPR7es was discontinued on here somewhere. When I went to the motor factors they said they had none but as it turns out they didn't type the correct code in as they had them on the shelf.

These are ok for an SR still I guess?

Got a very odd misfire that only happens on full throttle. I thought it was fuelling but I've been told that a wide band will give a false lean reading under a misfire situation. I'm not convinced so I thought I'd try plugs just incase. And hard wire the coilpack live as I've seen people who have had issues with low volts there too.

BCPRs fit the CA. Not sure that the BKRs do.

Pretty sure both BCPR and BKRs fit the SR20.

Coilpacks fit slightly differently on the SR head to the CA is the probable reason.

I ran BCR8ES in my s14a, maybe are BCR*ES still available? They're the same but the electrode doesn't protrude out the end of the plug.

Well I managed to get the bcpr7es plugs and its sorted a lot of my issues. It turns out a wideband will show lean if you have a missfire. I assumed it was a fuelling issue and not spark due to the lean mixture but it appears not.
