    S14a / R33 GTR Rims / Opinions

So my cars painted and the arches have been rolled (thanks Phil at ArchEnemy)

So ill be ordering some Cs1's next month, but I really dont know what tyres to go for.

Currently im running 245/45 but thinking about 225/45 for a nice stretch and space as much as the arches will allow, 25mm rear and 15mm front at the least.

    What do you guys think?

This is how she sits at to moment

    that obviously sits high lol.

depending what power you have 225/45 all round is a good call. you might be able to do like 245/40 R and 225/45 F

remember if you have ABS you gotta keep the RR the same F+B or youl get the ABS kicking in more often. (so check that out before you use my suggestion)

They look alright but the arch gap overwhelms them

Standard response is 225/45 front and 245/45

I ran those sizes with 9x17 et20 on my old s14a. No scrubbing issues iirc with a rolled arch.

how did you find the ABS with the different RR?

my friends 14a kicks in far too soon with only a small difference.

Haha that was just after it had been jacked up, its not quite so bad now!

Ive never been keen of the idea of different sizes on the same size rim, looking for the same sort of stretch back and front.

Looking at those pics though 225/45 doesnt look that much different!

215/40/17 is a nice stretch on those rims, but unless you lower considerably, it looks lost.

That sounds interesting, I dont mind going low.

They wont look too narrow from the back though... like a pram?

    How much is your budget?

also, stretching makes the tyre look larger anyway so i wouldnt worry about that.

id be worried about grip levels on a 215/40 but it looks awesome (hence why im asking your budget)

forgot that 215/45 is also a common size in 17s.....

Im running stage 1a and the standard rims were quite happy dealing with that. Will probably stay like that for a while.

More interested in getting it to look right.

Yokies are very expensive, think im going with the new falken ZE914's theve had some real good ratings

These are v good and are better than the falkens by a long shot.

    Why not 40's?

    Too dangerous?

    Not dangerous.

Just more expensive. Need to run lower for it to look right (i mean silly low) more harsh ride if daily etc 215/45 stretched is a nice profile and will give a lovely all round mix of stretch/performance/comfort

Id avoid the falkens personally. Much better out there for equal or not much more.

U might be ok with stock rims n tyres but once u get more confident they are terrible.

Thinking about it that picture was before the 225/45 went on.
