Change in, umm, resistance (said umm because I'm fairly sure that is right but my electrikery skillz aren't known to be brilliant) means the flasher unit is effectively seeing it as a 'fault' such as bulb out.
Why would extending a wire do this??
As arry said... resistance in the wire?
Makes sense to me
Mine do this also .. How do u go about fixing the resistance ?
Sorry to divert from the OP's question, but I've got DMAX "Winker/Position" swayed lights in my 13, both sidelight and indicator in the square light. The indicators flash as if a bulbs gone out, thought this was due to the use of an LED bulb. Could I just say wire in a section of thicker cable and solve the issue or do I need to do something more long winded?
It will be because of the led - you need a ballast pack
But i used old indicator wire i had from another pair so everything is the same??
checked your connections? make sure its all earthed properly. check your continuity between the bulb housing and the chassis to check your earth.
