s14a weekend fun machine something along the lines of needs to be a s14.5 now lol.

Decided after a good night of banter down at the central monthly meet i should join and get a build thread up so just going to post bit by bit as will take me a while i think.

This was us leaving newcastle whete i picked it up.

    Completely standard
    70k miles
    Full nissan history
    No major rust
    Just been undersealed

Then outside my grans gaff after we got home.

Then my first batch of parts started to arrive and mount up which i really could not complain about.

    Blitz BOV
    Tein coilovers
    Toyo sports FMIC

    More shortly.

Now we are getting somewhere, my car is no longer standard.

Front mount all fitted and working just need to plug the pipw nexto the maf sensor. And relocate battery to the boot and thats it done.

Have these lying around from my old civic and on two mind wether to fit or not, mazda import mx5 momo wheel and d1 spec snap off, if i can get a slimline nrg ill probably fit it as always loved the feel of it in the civic.

Next delivery for my car should consist of a apexi catback and apexi filter.

Exhaust will wait till i have a downpipe, elbow, and decat.

So today i had a spare hour so i decided to throw on my rear coilovers.

This is the gap before coilovers.

And this is the gap when fitted.

Very chuffed with the way the rear sits now.

Some mega reverse rake going on there.

This is just a usual comparsion picture.

Oarts that i have paid for and shud be with me soon are

    Apexi catback
    Apexi filter
    Japspeed manifold

Going to do my front coilovers through the week and when i get a turbow elbow, downpipe, decat and new gaskets i will get the exhaust on.

Been collecting a few parts ready to slap on when i have a few days to myself.

    Wonder what this is

Also bought this which will go on same time as the above item after i get a elbow, decat, gaskets and downpipe.

Got this apexi filter today and im not the most patient so its on already.

I also whipped all these parts out my dash to make way for gauges and my cd/dvd player.

To leeve a mess like this gaping hole.

Got these today aswell, lamco gauges in a cd player delete style holder, only after i won them.on.ebay did i.realise.i.didnt really want them.but hey ho i think they look no bad :P

So stuck them in just roughly to see how theyd look and i quite like them with the.old faithfull cd player.

So so far a list of things i have to do are:

    - fit my Greddy asher bottle
    - Greddy bottle only has 2 holes so will dewiper rear to cut down a pump.
    - Fit front coilovers
    - Relocate battery to boot.
    - wire in gauges and cd player
    - buy a nrg boss, decat, downpipe, elbow, injectors, walbro, full suspension and arm set up off driftworks.
    - software and go for a map.
    - wheels.

    And enjoy.

I havent been able to do much to this recently because of the snow falling constantly.

But i have tucked it away in the garage after my cousin spending hours with me cleaning it out to make just enough space for the 14.

After getting it in the garage all i have done is put copper grease on the threads of the front coils.

Jacked up the front of the car, took off the wheels and dropped down the coils, i then soaked the bolts in WD40 ready for tommorow night when i will remove them and fit the front coilovers.

    Right latest update.

Got a japspeed twin tube downpipe yesterday.

Waiting on a japspeed elbow and a decat coming, i will then fit the decat, elbow, downpipe and apexi catback which will be next weekend probably.

Looking for a GT2871r Turbo so that i can aim for between 300 and 400 hp once i have that fitted it will be a waiting game for injectors and the rest of the needed parts to reach my power goal.

Thinking nistune software and use my mates flatbed to transport when it comes to it.

But on a brighter not i got the car out today with the help of my younger cousin keeping me motivated.
Got the last coilover fitted and back on its wheels so i could get it out the garage, which led me to taking out down the backroads for some sideways action, im so shit but practice will help.

    Oldies off.

    Tien ready to go on.

Sadly never took any fitted pics, made sure i put plenty copper grease on the bolts and the threads of the coilovers.

And this is how it sits just now.

Seem to be getting dragged towards a set of 17 or 18" Nissan 350z import forged wheels, love the look of them so might end up getting them at some point, also looking at despoilering and then roof spoilering, also ordered some yellow headlight tint because i think that will look mean.

Thats all for now but hopeing for more updates next weekend

Aha!!! The final piece of the exhaust is here! The MOT failer!

And last night i set about polishing uo my elbow and manifold but didnt do as good i would have liked so just stopped and gave up lol.

    Excuse my grans carpet lol.

Set out to my car with good intentions today heres the before.

Full exhaust system all laid out.

    Before polish.

    After polish.

And unfortunately no after picture or video of the sound as i cant get my bloody turbo elbow off and have spent about 5 hours at it and gave up, dont have a blow torch or that so just wd40 and tools and wont budge from the downpipe, tempted to take it pff at the manifold but cant really see how its gonna help.if i.cant get it out once its off.

Thinking og either giving it to billy at CAS to.do while.he welds in a flexi, or im going to.cut the elbow off just after theflange just before the sensor, but indecided as of yet but im off work for a week in a week so it will all go down then.

Incoming car parts were at a high today in my woek as i recieved my walbro 255, elbow gasket from.driftworks, gizzmo ms-ibc and yellow headlight tint.

    Finally i am getting somewhere.

Today i set about the task of removing my manifold, after coming to terms with the fact it cant come off without the turbo i got down to it.

This is where i left it a while back eventually i got the elbow and full exhaust off on the one.

Now with that off i set about taking off the manifold and ended up with one bolt left on and looking like this.

So natuaraly got out the grinder and ground the top side flat and chisseled it round, i had already tried heat from blowtorch, and hammering on a 13mm so this was last resort.

After alot of reffering to a how to on google the turbo came off.

Its so clean i cant explain enough the manifold gasket looked brand new.

Manifold off and in to a bucket to take to my friend who knows alot about turbos to check for play etc.

How clean and new looking is this turbo to manifold gasket, iv already ordered a driftworks one but this looks new lol.

I also like the look of no spoiler so im going to get the holes filled in i think.

Still on the hunt for wheels, all i need now is nismo 555s and the horsham.stage 2a chip for a nice 300ish bhp.

Hopefully will have more updates soon.

    Well another update.

Had my turbo down at a guy who specialises in turbo conversions in my area and he says my turbo is in pretty damn mint condition with no play at all, ideal! Some good news!

On the other hand the manifold i bought second hand a while back had a slight crack in it on the tube for cylinder 4 so that got me down hearted but was gonna stick it on and see if it blew at all.

But ended up not bothering because when i went to fit it, it looked like this.

Theres a good 8mm to fill. Because the pipe for cylinder 1 sits on top of the turbo hot pipe. The guy i bought the mani said he didnt have the proplem on his and that i should just rotate the turbo housing around a tad but but im just not going to bother with this manifold tbh shoulda just saved for good one.

So after all this happend to get the car moving again i decided to just put the standard manifold back on so fitted it back on and strapped the japspeed turbo elbow up to it.

    Manifold back on.

    Japspeed stainless elbow on.

Turbo back in with all elbows attatched, water and oil feed and return connected. Bolted the manifold up first that was a daft idea because i couldnt get the bloody oil return to go on so had to loosen all the manifold nuts to get some movement to get the oil return on and then used a garden hose jubilee clip to secure it because i broke the original ugly thingy lol.

So hopefully when i go to finish the rebuild up it will go easy all i need to do now is remove the sensor in the original elbow, and remove the exhaust hanger that still on the original and fit my apexi catback, apexi filter and intervooler pipe and she will run again.

Also will be goibg to the sxoc meet in falkirk tommorow to pick up some Nismo 555s and hopefully my NRG short hub will arrive.

Then the next purchase will be a horsham stage 2 chip and then wheels and then probably spacers and then arm kit and the list goes on.

    Cheerz

This is now up to datr and i can start updating properly

Yesterday with the help of my mate gary i set about finishing up fitting my exhaust

Got the downpipe on first of all.

Then attatched the decat to the catback in the garage.

Slid it under from the rear and mounted it up on the hangers first and then bolted it to the decat, still need to mount the downpipe with bracket privided but.

How its looking now all fitted.

Put all the piping and filter and such back in.

Started her up and for the briedf time i heard it sounded awsome but unfortunately it was pishing oil everywhere from the feed pipe at the block, so bavk.off and the washer was ****ed, uo and got new ones and fitted it back up and the leak was away, thank god.
But then when a went to move thecar into the garage it had no brakes, so the.brake fluid has.vanished.somewhere, another problem was the fact its idle is at 2k rpm thats another problem for abother day but.

Picked these up at sxoc meet last night off jeff, just a stage 2a chip.i need now and im sorted

    nice

you do know you can rotate the compressor housing in your case only perhaps 20mm or so to clear the manifold?

    Mate your name is brilliant!

I didn't but the lad i bought it off told me this after i had reffited my manifold so just keeping it for a rainy day or till i can be bothered to fit it. Does rotating effect anything at all other than possision?

only the position is affected, dont go mad otherwise lining up the intercooler pipes will be a mare but i reckon 20mm should be more than enough, basically enough to clear that lug on the three bolt outlet

Hello mate, nice job you've done so far! Just a quick question for ya... did you went with s14 elbow/downpipe/decat setup? I have 14a as well, and I can't seem to find flexy cat/downpipe... so I was wondering if s14 setup fits all right with the 14a exhaust.
    Cheers mate!
