I had an RR-X before for 4 years and 50K miles but I always regretted selling it for the 954. I always liked the blue/purple ones.

Someone's pointed me at this and its a bit different. Reckon I'd get go faster bits for one ? They were raced quite a bit in the 90s.

I could get it painted in Boost colours

Wiki says there is a whole host of differences between the R and SP. Flat slide carbs - should fit. Pivot end swing arm adjustment - doubt it would fit. Bolt on subframe - not a chance. Ohlins rear shock and SP suspension only on later '96 "R".

Looks like its got the one easy "tuning" device that works - the exhaust can. After that it's the flat slides from a "SP" and re-jet for no air box. 39mm carbs would I think come with different inlet stubs. It would have been the SP that was raced. In "production" classes tuning was limited to blueprinting the engine so there would be very limited demand for cams and the like.

And the 2nd link on google for YZF750R "visordown" review is quite damming against Suzuki and Honda offerings. Shouldn't have to "work" a sports tourer, maybe the EX-UP wasn't working.

It will be eligible for Vintage Motorcycle Club events in 2018.

    OK. Out of hibernation everyone....

Is anyone interested in doing Fantasy Bike Racing this year ?

Only Dave and I signed up last year so I won't both creating a mini-league unless there is more interest.

sign up here then let me know your username and I'll set up the mini-league if there is enough interest.

On a different subject, does anyone have any experience of building race bikes ?

I've set myself a project to build a race bike out of a Suzuki 750 road bike. I've got a budget and a rough idea of what I want it to be...a proper pukka race bike not a track day lash-up.

It won't get raced by me. Probably just do track days with me on.

Fcuking awesome justice ! Driving a stolen car drunk without a licence or insurance having lost your licence for 4 previous drink drive offences ? Have a fine and a slap on the wrist.
Using a bike properly on an empty road ? Go to jail !
    Fcuksache !

Looking to buy an MSX for the summer just to mess about on - found one from an obvious chav in Romford on Gumtree, which sports 2 pictures of interest. One is of him servicing it on a rug in his kitchen and the second is of him wheelieing it down the council estate Description states 'needs new back tyre as bald'. That's got to be the most honest description for a bike and its treatment I have ever seen

I am tempted to go buy it though

Does it have its own keys or just a screwdriver, and do either the frame or engine numbers match the V5, and does it have a V5?

Oh and what'll it do mista?

Dropped the KTM off at the local KTM / Ducati dealer today for a full service and to fix the blinkin' oil leak it's developed.

    IMAG1561

    Little bugger.

Anyway, having a full service done including valve check. If I get change of £500 I'll be surprised

    Ahahaha, yes very funny.

Actually servicing costs were very, very reasonable - I had:
    Full service including valve clearances
    New front tyre
    New rear pads
    Oil leak sorted

And it was all done at just over 800 quid. Bargain

Just got in from the Triumph Bobber launch at Woods Abergelly .

Nice to look at but way to low and cramped for me

So will stick with my Tiger for now but if i can get nice fat 17" alloys and make it Hypermoto for giggles

You should buy a new bobber and convert that to a hyper Moto, Dave
