Ah bejaaaasus this YBR is pissing me off
New clutch cable ordered and ready to go on, along with cush drive rubbers and a new air filter and some decent oil
So you'd think now I'm treating it to some shit it'd have the ****ing decency to start?
Starter button has gone intermittent, well actually that's a lie it went intermittent and now it just doesn't ****ing work. Kicks over first time but not for wifey as she's a princess and doesn't have the thighs of a biker...
Any thoughts before I set fire to it? The YBR, not the missus
If she put on enough timber to kick the bike over I'd have to buy her new textiles - I think the cost would outweigh any benefit
Check wire to starter in case it has broken within the insulation . It might have had a pinch point that started intermittent the as the gap widens it fails completely
That would be a starting point Arry
The kill switch is a place to look, as they're prone to breaking if excessively used by the old owner
I've just sold the bike! Time to look for a new one... I have about 800 to 900 quid D:
What are peoples thoughts on this?

:O
I was considering spraying it red if I could be bothered with it, I might be too busy riding it
I just got my first big bike!
Only two pictures I have so far, I haven't had a chance to do anything to it yet but that rack is going right away.
Even though this is a 1997 and my Hyosung was an '08 this bike is a million times nicer to ride even just pootling about like a 125 can
One thing though, the rev needle dances all over the shop it just bounces around the rev I'm doing by a 2-3k margin. Any idea why?

Good choice
You'll probably get a few quid for the rack on ebay if you don't want it.
Is the rev counter bouncing around randomly or is it doing 0->3k->actual engine speed->0->3k etc?
Yeah it's going with engine speed just it's a very rough guide of engine speed Also does anyone know what type of oil should be used in this? Information seems to be quite hard to find about this bike.
Take a look here, loads of info. And a PDF copy of the Haynes manual which can come in useful.
Thanks mate I'll take a look!
Had my first attempt to steal my bike yesterday.
Up and over garage door with 2 locks on and they got in but luckily neighbour disturbed them.
Need to think about bike security now, any pointers?
good quality chain and ground anchor, or strapped to a concrete railway sleeper
I leave 7st of German Short Hair Pointer in the garage with mine never had any bother before him i had Weirmaners and no attempted break in with them either
Raised the money to get me through my bike license. Will be booking a package tomorrow which will offer me my lessons along with Mod 1 and 2 test's. Here goes
Good luck
