Yeah I've had a sit on one, and it wouldn't be a bad shout, but it's still just as heavy as what I've got. Being more upright might make the weight a little less relevant though, I guess

    Try swimming Arry

Weekend already booked with the 12R lot in Wales, I think some tuning may be on the cards this year for mine (not that a near 200mph bike needs much tuning mind )

What your 12R needs is a diet not a protein milk shake

Got a 10 week course starting in March swimming lengths. We shall see if it helps.

I must say - last time I looked at the stats for your bike more power is exactly what I thought it could do with

Given your history of road trips, forgive me for being a bit dubious

I take it this would be a drive across Belgium to Germany. Would there be any visits to historic site etc ? Is there anything going on related to the battle ? I'm guessing not as it was fought in Winter I'm pretty sure.

It's a sightseeing tour with some roads thrown in JW. I'm tagging onto someone else's trip so the dates are set.

The last road trip didn't have great statistics did it

If you're going to the next Essex meet, maybe we can chat about it. Cost, timings, itenery etc. I might even buy a bike to do it on (I get the impression they didn't think anybody would be staying in the seat for any length of time on mine).

I'll try mate. I'd probably have capacity on mine to take a load of stuff for you and they're talking 100-120 miles max any one time without a break as some of them have small tank ranges.

I guess you'd do 80 miles and be out of gas but then if you stopped at every garage you'd still beat me to destination

I can squeeze 120 miles out of a tank at a steady 80 but I get a dumb-bum after 80 motorway miles and need an hour off the bike after 120. 120 miles of twisty miles would see me out of fuel but happy in the comfort department as I'd be moving around on the bike. They don't advertise it as an all-rounder

    I could murder a Duc.

I've been offered an SV650s for a few hundred quid though, it's half faired which I don't like so I would want to turn it naked. Has anyone done this before? What are your thoughts on being able to simply use the naked factory parts from ebay?

only experience I have was when I parked my M600 monster next to my mates SV650 it made it look like a Chinese ebay import

that said I did my test on a gladius 650 and it was a nice ride

Cosy de-faired his Bandit S easy enough. Can't imagine it'll be any harder.

    And diavel - splease
