Gets on my tits as it's stoke on trents biggest cash cow where I got caught, a straight 2 lane dual carriage way with 1 enormous slip road half way down and it drops to 50 just long enough for a camera van to perch on top of a bridge...

I'll also be taxing my bike again on Tuesday so hoping for a little more mild weather. I seem to have missed riding more this Winter than the last couple of years. Really keen to get back out there.

Made my way to B&Q last night to get some paraffin to use as a degreaser - will try to give the bike a good going over this coming weekend where I've got some time away from Wifey.

Then I've got to get back on it and, to be honest, I'm dreading it My shoulder is far from fixed - I'd go as far as to say it feels weaker now than it did 3 months after it popped. I just don't think I can ride the Sprint any more, it's too crouched and too heavy. But I've sort of exhausted all other options that tick enough boxes because a light bike with upright riding position doesn't ever = pillion friendly.

Looks like the pillion friendly bit is what needs to give; that'll not please Wifey but it's a choice between that and not riding at all, as far as I can see.

I'm not quite as hardcore as Vale - perhaps I'm on a par with Hutchy though

Have you tried a tiger 800? I must admit it's probably the best all round bike I have riden - nice light and upright ... and my Mrs reasons it's the best pillion she has been on, even better than a cruiser
