well I've not seen his name mentioned on here for years - thought it turns out it has been quite a few times, as a quick search revealed earlier... but it made me chuckle anyway

their down fall aside from the rear arches rust issues was the recalls for the transfer box doing weird things as it was an electronic controlled hydraulic system that switched to 4wd when fronts started to spin or some thing like that
still nice to see a good one these days, hide it away if you can
Cheers man, yea this one is totally standard with 68k genuine miles! no faults or rust anywhere! When i took it to MOT the fellow was determined to fail it, he said "i tried to find something wrong with the car but couldnt" lol made me laugh

A friend of mine had one of those caliber cavs and it was awesome. And surprisingly quick for a big car with only 150bhp

Calibra turbos are so rare because so many nova boys broke them to fit the engines in there novas for silly quick tin boxes.

Amazed at first at the shape until they got common.

Did look at a 16v, uninspired by the Cav dash, the bonnet weighs a ton and 0 front wheel traction, spin, spin, spin.

Thankfully if anyone was stupid enough to modify a turbo 4x4 it had the decency to self -terminate.

I seem to remember the main issue with the V6 cav's and calibra's were that they had such a long ratio gearbox. 3rd was about 120mph

Just do a trawl of Bodley Tunes posts. He used to troll the mods and would regularly bring completely unrelated threads round to an argument about 0-60 times and how much better his old Renault 21 turbo was compared to a 200. He got banned in the end. Some people (myself included) found him entertaining but the mods didn't seem to see the funny side. IIRC, after he got a temporary ban, he tried to come back un under the radar a few times but got caught so got a fairly permanent ban.

Was quicker than you thought as they only had 130bhp . I really wanted a Calibre when i was into Mk2 cavs but got seduced by the blue oval instead

Only 250 left! It doesn't seem like long ago when they used to be everywhere

Think he means the Turbo ones, not Calibras in general
