Cheers man just doing my bit for the environment lmao
Cheers man just doing my bit for the environment lmao
Kenna was a top lad and took the best set of "recycled" tyres and had them put on my wheels for me
Then smashed them in farted about for abit then gave the cars a wash
Need to drop the rear alittle bit then she should sit a bit better
Also painted a spare rocker cover iv had for ages, it was supposed to be abit on the side that I could jump onto when I had a spare half hour or so but I ended up just smashing it out
I rattle caned it purely because it would be effort with the gun, cleaning it out all the time between primer, paint and clear coat. I did clear coat with the gun as it gives a better finish
The colour really pops in the natural sunlight
Overall I was very pleased with it and I think the colour looks great against the gunmetal engine bay
Bought a hks oil cap of eBay for £10, genuine or fake I'm not fussed its oil cap lol
Recently I fitted a pair of 12" cooling fans in the back of radiator
Now please no comments about how the worlds going to end because I have taken off the viscous fan and cowling, I know the crack with them it's just a personal choice, I thing they look utter shit and sap engine power
Apart from that this is it for now apart from fitting a sun strip, because My eyes are shit there always cringing in the bright light and does my nut in, I usually have a sun strip on most of my cars

Nice build thread mate, cars coming along nicely, whats the deal with the rad and fans? Easy mod? Straight swap? Cheers
Viscous fans can fail with age, I just fancied clearing up the engine bay abit and it's something I can control, they were easy to fit and were not expensive they are 21 posted in eBay but they do them on a auction sometimes and I got the two seperately. For the two I paid around £30. Now I just need a fan controller but I don't fancy £70 for a revotech one so I might make my own with a coolant temp switch and a relay
Yeah I spotted them on the bay, ok mate ill keep an eye on this thread.
loving the rocker cover dude...what color is it?!
also a big fan of kouki rear bumpers, your just missing the kouki lights and spoiler
keep up the good work!
Cheers dude the colour if Ford purple velvet metalic
I'm very pleased with it,
I also have a set of kouki lights sorted and I think I will leave it spoiler less
I have been after a set of rear spats for the rear bumper but even if I could find a pair I couldn't justify the spastic price tag
But I have managed to find something that should do it
Also a set of srb navan side skirts that I won on Egay
Time for another update fair bits been going on
Snapped up a rare Greddy cooling panel off a member on here
Didn't really need it but it was cheap so thought why not
I was having problems with power steering fuild boiling up when drifting so I made a proper overkill PAS cooler from a oil cooler I was given years ago and some pipe
Cost big fat £0
My side skirts came in the post there an R33 Oem style skirt i won on eBay
Now the car was all colours of the rainbow and started to get on my tits, Steve_20085 gave me some steel box section and I made some fold out trestles to start painting some panels on because I'm a tight shit haha
Got some foam pipe insulation to go on them aswell
Tried on Emma's 10j's for the crack and I think they suite it quite well
Got started on the body work did a fair bit of work in the stock panels but wanted it to look right and not an abortion like I've seen people do it before, I would say I have 10 hours in the front bumper before paint, but it should take a beating compared to fibreglass
Picked up a revotech fan controller for handy money
And an Apexi cold air intake pipe, again didn't need it but I've never seen one before and it's pretty sweet
Slowly being stripped off and preped
Pic of the bonnet probably about 10 hours in this as well cutting the underside of the bonnet out and painting it black, masking and measuring then redoing then measuring again took ages but its bang on and I'm pleased with it
Stuck a deal with the missus she helps me prep and in return I paint some bits on hers,
oh and had to buy her a dominos haha
So over the bank holiday we made a start on the Friday night, bless her she spent all of three long days helping and did a cracking job at sanding and smoothing panels and didn't moan
once lmao
Then on the saterday we finished off prepping panels and went on to paint.
She also had a blast with the primer as its hard to cock it up, don't worry she did get masked up
Came in on the Sunday and my god the dust was everywhere, I then started mixing up the paint and smashing it on
If I get a chance tomorrow I will update this with some pics of the car back together she looks bad ass =D

And it says apfxi not apexi
Aces.
All done apart from the mirrors and let the the lacquer harden and wet flat and polish
Looks awesome dude! Not sure if you remember but you took me out in this a few months ago when the front end was still damson (Steve brought me over as I was thinking if getting an s14a). Pleased to see you've finally finished painting it as I really liked the grey when I saw it.
That looks awsome dude. We're those dare rs?! 10j?! They look good, I want a set
Ah ye I remember how you doing, did you get a s14a in the end ???
Cheers man, yes there 10j et15 they were on the girlfriends 200.
She sold them and bought Rotas now she's selling them to buy another set of dare rs's lol
Bought a revotech fan controller for cheaps
I was having a chat with my old man as you do and I was on about the apex group buy on there full roll cages for £209.
He said "are you gonna get one because that's cheap" I said "not at the minute cash is tight"
The old git went and bought me one lol, he said you will look up and thank me when you put it in a ditch haha
Need to strip the rest of the interior out and paint the cage
Painted the intercooler fins silver just about of a freshen up
And while I was at it I fitted a tow strap, so I don't rip the bumper off loading it onto the trailer
Steve sorted me out a stainless coilpack cover
Steve also sorted you out some spacers so get them on so your rear wheels don't look lost.
