I have a feeling my wastegate is playing up. I had a problem with it a 2 years ago,and had to do a spot weld on the bit where it joins the actuator. My cars been fine since sunday, although funilly enough it did it again at lunch. Everything seems fine, just cant get passed 0psi. Change down a gear or so, and starts going again. I also had a problem when it hit 15psi last week, even though I've got the boost down for winter, so guessing the wastegate got stuck shut.

I'll take the turbo off in a month or two and have a look. I may have knocked the spot weld off last autumn while playing around with it off the car.

No luck as yet unfortunately, rang them a week ago and they said they would see what they can do.

oh right, well fingers crossed for you buddy, have you stripped the box down? did you say it was grinding on engagement, if not im sure you cen get a synchro put in pretty cheaply as 4th is the outermost gear.

Where did you get it from?
You have 6 moths under eu law to return an item. Depends how much effort it's worth.

Well, it's 225 GBP that might have been wasted so it's worth the effort to me. I haven't heard back from the trader yet but I will call them when I get back into England and see if they have any proposition.

TBH, I have had a really bad few weeks with traders and I'm sick to the back teeth of it.
