Just the standard size ones Mac, i seen you can get 1/2" studs but more machining and more expense they will just need to do. in an ideal world, it would have darton or similar liners fitted as well, if i run into issues i might get another block down the line, until then ill just need to back off the boost if there are any problems.

Fitting the 1/2" studs now will save you money further down the line, obviously it depends what your plans are with regards to the power/boost levels but a little bit more money now in machining costs will give you room to wind the boost up without worrying about the head lifting

Love the look and feel of freshly machined parts too btw

Well I'm not looking for crazy power 550 600HP has been done on DET blocks and heads, reliability and response as well as plenty of RPM is what I'm after. I know what you are saying though Andy.

Getting there slowly, CP 9.0 - 1 SR20VET pistons, and manley rods fitted, using KING race bearings, ARP main studs. waiting on the conversion pick up and crank pulley spacer from Mazworx

Drilled and tapped a m12 grub screw into the vct oil gallery to block it off, also see the oil drain hole that need to be blocked off in the LH rear of the block.

I think it should do 500 easy, it will depend on the fuel system i guess. 500hp would be good with a decent powerband even with this turbo as it should rev to 9k or there abouts.

pistons and rods fitted, and everything finally torqued up, a vvl oil strainer from mazworx and that will be the bottom end complete.

    jj205mi16's sr20vet s14a

This thread is pretty much toast due to photobucket, this is still how the engine sits, I have made progress on the car and it will soon be driving all be it with a SR20DE with a Chinese turbo fitted. I Just want to get it moving and setup for this thing being finished.

I don’t actually need many more parts but still a few ££ in them. Planning to have it done by summer but who knows. It’s been a long haul.

Still working away on this, Ve engine only really needs injectors and a wastegate now,

Done with the interior though so it’s nearly there.
