Also found that 350z coils fit the VE rocker cover and have the same plugs as S14a ones. Slightly longer than the original sr20 ones but not too big an issue.

Unsure how these compare to VAG etc but no need for another wiring loom.

id be tempted to just run the De+T on a generic chip. unless you can get it mapped cheap. I know the compression ratio is higher but most unopened SR's are knackered so its not going to be far off what a healthy one was back in the olden days when generic chips were mapped. just try not to kill the crank.

Ooooh wow, would you look at that. Very interested to see this go. I would love to put a VVL in my new one, but I can't at all justify it because of what I'm asking of the car which is not a lot. Super interested to see this finished!

It’s been a long haul, It’s running now just sorting a base tune on it.

I’ve spent a lot of money and to be honest I don’t think I’d do it again. But yes it should hopefully go well.

In interested to see how long the gearbox lasts lol

starting to look a bit more complete, a few small jobs to finish on the engine but its running well, cant wait for all this lockdown to be over so i can actually get it to the dyno, im sure everyone is the same, but the more time i get the more i seem to remove from the car.

Finally back on the road, car has been behaving so far, got around 100miles on it so far, I’ll maybe do 500 then drop the oil and get it on a dyno.

Finally got the seat sitting sitting where I needed/wanted it to be.

Also moved the wastegate on the manifold, had to make a link pipe so I had more room for everything.

    Turbo side as it sits

Cheers Chris it’s annoyed me for so long, always felt high in aftermarket seats. Might have taken it a bit too far but I like it now

Finally got some sort of success after a long time.

Also got a new dash centre panel which tidied up the interior pretty well.

Next up is a gearbox conversion and a clutch, but likely going to be into next year now.
