    Megane RS250

May as well stick this up on here as well, Might not be to everyones tastes but you can't argue with the performance of them LOL

Previous car was a Fiesta MK7 ZS with about 150bhp, Stripped out/Buckets/Harness/Coilovers/Semi Slicks/Track brake pads.

    Some photos of the Fiesta:

Picked the Megane up back in August after wanting one for months and months and this popped up with a good spec, low miles and a good price so a trip down to Yorkshire to get it, What a car it is, I could go on and on about it for days but then i would sound bias but its hard not to LOL!

    Spec
    RS250 Cup
    Steev Wheels
    Recaros
plus the usual RS stuff, No RS Monitor unfortunately though

My first 2 days of ownership consisted of this mostly

BMC Panel Filter DONE- Now Running an Injen CAI
    Carbon Badges/Debadge DONE
    Midbox removed DONE
CL RC5+ Pads DONE These will be getting swapped out for some RC6 or Pagid RS29's this year
On the lookout for some 18" Cup wheels to run some Semi slicks for track use
    19" Wheels refurb'd in black
    Decat
    FMIC
Looking to Remap it at some point this year as well once the warranty is up

    Tyres are expensive.

    Luckily these were cheap.

Gone for a more square setup of 245/35/19's over the stock 235's.

Lots of grip, Very very similar to the RS-R's on the road, Will see how they compare on track.

Also means i can get the CL RC6 pads fitted now i have tyres that can cope with them LOL!

When I was out at the ring for the two trackdays, they were the only things which were not supercars which I just could not keep up with in the Mx5. Very very capable cars!!

Lovely looking car! Watched the video 50-110 in 4th and this looked a litle slow to me, how much torque do these chuck out? My focus st has around 300ft of the stuff and i use 4th gear to over take from about 40-50 mph and manage 3 to 4 cars in one hit easily.

LOL at the Focus comment. It has about 270ftlbs.

Paul, no running them yet as I need to kill the RC5 pads first. I'll have them in for the Weekender though.

Rc5's are very good as well, work better on the road but I'm going for some rc6s this year seeing as I'm doing a Spa and Ring trackday later on

I'm undecided yet. I'm thinking of refurbing my wheels white and have heard horror stories about the CL pads destroying wheels. Don't really fancy destroying a freshly refurbed set of Works wheels

The 5s are not as bad for dust compared to the 6's. Takes a lot to get them to fade as well, my tyres gave up well before the rc5s did at knockhill LOL

Yes its stock, might get it mapped, will take it to about 310bhp/350ftlbs.

As it is now it can keep up with a mates 270/330 Stage 2 St and pulls away slightly on a stock mk2 FRS, straight line anyway.

Show it some twisty stuff and it will leave most stuff for dead

it is a lovely looking car as well (as the performance and handling) .... never felt the love for hot hatches until the RS250, I would have this car in a heartbeat ... especially that colour and those seats !!!

Excellent, that will transform the car!

Not sure what stage mine is at, I have a Revo Stage 1 (No other mods are needed for this) , but im also now running a big front mount, panel filter and RS Clutch, after it was mapped it drove completely different, as I was trying to say but not very well, my 4th gear is the one I use to over take, it really flies. I dont even change down half the time now since having the clutch upgraded. Its going back to be mapped again and should be around 290hp, I can add a down pipe and exhaust and run stage 2 software should make 300hp with a lot of torque. I know on the Focus STOC theres big respect for these, pretty much everyone says the same on the track there's nothing that comes close bar a super car. I really love the look of your car pal, this could be a serious contender when I decide to change.

Day to day pottering around town what mpg do you get? again at a steady 70 do you get more than mine which is 28-30 at best.

Similar to what my mates is I think.

It does about 35-38 cruising so not too bad considering, also has VVT which may help.

Day to day about 20-30 depending, dont do much town driving mainly fast a and b roads
