    New car. BMW 635CSi

I've wanted one of these since I saw one at Le mans last year and I've finally found the one for me!!

It's a 1987 in delphin grey and it's in ridiculously good condition. Solid underneath and amazing panels and paint!

It's on the original BBS TRX metric wheels and has leather interior.

It's such a lovely place to be even has cruise control

I can't believe how smooth it is to drive and the auto box is amazing! 218bhp as well so pretty nippy!

I've looked at these a few times. I love the shark-nose look.

They're not cheap to keep running but buy a good one and they're a lovely place to be.

In case you dont know, the metric tyres are stupid expensive so a lot have been converted to standard tyres/wheels. I think 3-series wheels fit but don't take my word for it.

Manuals are harder to come by and its rare to find a nice example that hasn't got some sort of unsavoury history.

The later highlines are better speced. I haven't been able to find a nice manual or I'd currently be driving one.

Let us know how you get on with it.

The ratio of auto to manual E24's out here is probably 70/30

You're looking $2.5k - 3k USD for the car and $1800 USD to ship

They're LHD obviously, but COMPLETELY rot free And usually better spec than UK ones (elec rear windows, air con, elec seats etc etc)

This is currently for sale here on Alameda

Apart from the tints, its immaculate. Owner wants $3.5k USD. Nice plate though. I test drove a restoration project too just before Xmas in San Mateo for $1500USD. I just dont have the time

Slightly optimistic price, but damn tidy.

    Sorry for the thread hi-jack

I sold a set of metric wheels in mint condition and a good 7mm tread on them for £80 and they took ages to sell. But yes metric tyres are a joke.

    Cheers

Yea I know metric tyres are awkward but they've got plenty of tread.

Plans are to just look after it really and fix any existing issues. It may get a set of 17" BBS and a 30mm drop but not too sure yet.

For those after manuals the auto drives very nice I'd recommend test driving an auto before writing them off altogether.

It's certainly a very different drive to the 200!

Glad you guys approve. I can't stop driving it! It's just so smooth and torquey! It is more solid, quiet and refined than my 4month old corsa and that is no exaggeration.

Already ordered a transistor to fix the fan speed. It's so easy to work on.

I can see the pics better at home and that does look like a very nice one you have got yourself there.

@Ed - I like the silvery one. Less keen on the red one...Can you manage a stick shift ?

Did a mini service yesterday and its a joy to work on so clean and rust free. I wish my 200 was this clean!
