    Dunc's s14a - weekend toy

Had this for a few weeks now so thought I'd better put a project thread up to keep track of what's going on.

    As I bought it:-

Nice looking car but I've been changing things to make it more suitable for me, for the purpose I want it - A capable and fun weekend car. It's a bit leggy at 119k but isn't smokey and engine seems fine.

Firstly I've removed some of the stuff (I'm guessing I'll get some stick for some/all of these changes).

*Bucket seat/harnesses removed, std cream leather fitted in its place.
*Aftermarket wheel removed and std wheel put back in its place.
*Suspension raised as it just wasn't practical as it was and also so as I can,
*Remove the straight through exhaust and fit a stainless system with silencers
    *Removed all the stickers

Here's the current exhaust (which will be up for grabs soon):-

    And under the bonnet

So the spec as it stands is nothing special and something along the lines of:-

    Engine

    *SR20DET
    *T28
    *Koyo Rad
    *FMIC
    *Tubular Exhaust Manifold
    *Battery relocated to boot
    *Stainless exhaust
    *Cone Filter
    *Uprated fuel pump
    *Braided turbo lines

    Suspension

    *HSD coil overs
    *rear subframe brace
    *rear strut brace
    *rear c-pillar brace

    Brakes

*Grooved rear disk, drilled front disks
    *Hydraulic handbrake (to be removed)

    Additional

    *HIDs
    *Auto meter boost gauge

Future tasks are uprated pads, new front tyres, change exhaust over to one with silencers, bodywork tidy up, arches and a bit in the engine bay.

    Cheers,

    Dunc.

I've got a mongoose here, how would the HKS compare and what's it look like? Might do, you're OK with it having no CAT's or silencers?

Car looks great as you brought it, right up my street :-)
I would be interested in the exhaust system when it's for sale, drop me a PM to discuss.

Thanks for the +ve comments, I've raised the suspension a bit (20 turns front and back) - I think it's similar to the top pic in terms of height now and also put small spacers on the back that #I had lying around.

Planning on removing the exhaust on sat so first to ask was E1, then James etc etc. I also have a set of sliding drivers subframes like new (driftworks ones perhaps?) and a set of red harnesses 3" not in FIA date though.

OK appreciated bud Willie will be returning it at the meet so can pass it on.

JamesR you're next - if I get it off on sat I'll get pics, think it's got heat wrap on it - can remove that or keep it on. It was purchased March 2012, it's one of these http://www.japspeed.co.uk/Nissan-200...st/p-3-72-865/
