Any sparks on here
Hey guys. Wondering if there is any electricians on here. Need a bit of help with a light in my new house that is annoying me.
It's my kitchen light, has two switches (one of which was added in when remodelled).
So the problem..... When the light is switched off with one of the switches then it needs to be switched back on with that switch. Can be switched off by either but must be switched back on with the same light switch I use to turn it off.
Cheers

you need to rewire the switches.

So we talking re-wiring then? Was hoping it was just a one way switch where there should be a two way!!

Wow. Where did the picture go?? That was fast. So u reckon they r just wired up wrong and could be changed easily? Just swapping a wire? Or adding one in? Linking it across?

will take a bit of rewiring, pretty straight forward but depending on access it could be a PITA

If its just a switch pair dropped to each switch you just need to add a 3core between the switches and ignore one of the switchlines.
dont know what the guy above has shown?

if you have 3 wire cable between the two you need to make sure the Com/L1/L2 match colours on the 3 core, and your 2 wire cable is in the L1/L2 and not the com connection....... its a common mistake made by DIY'ers
